🚨 Sergej Jakirović on Hull City's defeat to Arsenal: 🗣️ Reporter: “Sergej, what is your assessment of the game against the champions?” Jakirović: “Now you understand why Arsenal are Premier League champions. They know exactly how to win football matches. We gave everything, matched them one-on-one in many areas and made life difficult for them, but against this Arsenal side, you cannot switch off for even a second. They can hurt you from any angle of the pitch. “Martin Ødegaard got the goal, but Noni Madueke deserves huge credit. He's stepped up brilliantly in Bukayo Saka's absence. When Saka returns, Mikel Arteta will have a difficult decision to make between those two. “Arteta also managed the game intelligently with his substitutions. Bringing on Viktor Gyökeres for Kai Havertz added a different threat up front. Eberechi Eze replaced Christos Tzolis, Mikel Merino came on for Declan Rice, while Piero Hincapié replaced Riccardo Calafiori. Those changes gave Arsenal fresh energy and helped them maintain control. “People may call Arsenal boring, but football is about results, and they know how to get them. Credit to them. They are arguably the best team in the league, and congratulations to Mikel Arteta and his players. “We did our best, but this result has taught us valuable lessons. Hull City are capable of competing, and we'll build on this experience as we fight to stay in the Premier League.” #ARSHUL
