The vehicle? BV75 HRZ. It is a 75-plate Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M3, operated by Kent-based Starline Coaches. Mercedes-Benz announced last year that Starline had taken delivery of a brand-new Tourismo M3 - describing it as a vehicle offering “comfort and luxury” for passengers. & the specification certainly isn’t basic. We’re talking about a 13-metre, 53-seat executive touring coach, complete with: * On-board toilet * Premium Luxline seat upholstery * Reclining seats * Extended legroom * Footrests * Air conditioning & climate control * Fold-out trays at the seats * Two 21.5-inch video monitors * Refrigerator * Large luggage hold * Overhead storage * 360-degree camera system * Modern driver-assistance & safety technology In other words, this is a serious, modern touring coach - the sort of vehicle designed to make travel as comfortable as possible. The Home Office has confirmed that people arriving through the Channel & being moved from arrival locations to reception facilities such as Manston are transported using dedicated transportation, with appropriate security personnel. But why SO luxurious?! 😡🤢🤮 The Government also admits it does not routinely publish detailed information about these transportation arrangements, citing security & operational considerations… 💩 This isn’t a £20 taxi ride.
