Or... in limerick format...
The POTUS just could not refrain
From putting the screws to Ukraine
He got on the phone
And made it well known
That they’d need to cause Biden some pain

In her own words.
She wrote Woodstock shortly after she missed, and obviously, also somewhat regretted, not being able to be there herself, and wrote a song that carries the occasion forward better than any other song possibly could. #JoniMitchell

If Trump says he’s “not a bad guy” then you *know* he’s a total asshole. I believe this logic to be infallible.
I have this sense of doom every time I am forced to accept a software update in order to watch tv.
I feel like I am using up my lifetime supply of luck capital, and one day I will invite the devil into my home to destroy me.

Nailed it.
Okay, I sat down and translated parts of yet another pompous statement from Jared Kushner about Trump’s incredible peace initiatives, explaining what his carefully worded euphemisms actually mean, so you don’t have to.
“…the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace…”
= “Europe will have to completely capitulate to Putin, make him the master of the continent, and live under his dictates, because we’re absolutely itching to get our hands on Lukoil’s foreign assets.”
“For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework.”
= “For decades, Europe and the entire West enjoyed peace and stability, until Putin, in his old age, suddenly got the itch to conquer Ukraine again, fucked it up spectacularly, and now somehow that’s everybody else’s problem.”
“Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment.”
= “You will be required to surrender everything and remain defenseless, while Putin will give you absolutely nothing in return and won’t be obliged to do a damn thing.”
“Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace.”
= “And we’re also going to blame you and Ukraine for Russia’s aggressive imperialism.”
“Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation.”
= “And Putin will decide where your sovereignty begins and ends, where your borders lie, and just how much independence you’re allowed to have.”
“Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices.”
= “Yes, unless Putin decides that you’re not actually a real country at all, but an inseparable part of Russia’s sphere of influence, and that your ability to defend yourself against an invasion constitutes an existential threat to Russia.”
“We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation.”
= “Nobody is going to discuss a damn thing with Ukraine or Europe. There won’t be, and never has been, anything here except our attempts to sell out and betray you to Putin for the highest possible price. And I’ll throw in a whole bunch of meaningless, boilerplate diplomatic phrases to make this bullshit look vaguely serious and respectable.”
“There are no easy solutions.”
= “Russia could simply get the hell out of Ukraine and stop launching wars of aggression whenever it wants, but that’s not what Putin is promising us money for.”
“We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.”
= “Of course, absolutely nothing will come of any of this, just as nothing has come of all the previous years of these ridiculous ‘negotiations,’ during which we’ve been actively helping Putin wage his war. But we couldn’t care less. That’s not what we’re here for.”

Impeach corrupt Judge Aileen Cannon and uncover the deal she made to help Trump hide his classified document crimes.
Wrong. Voters were fed up with corruption. That’s the big difference this year. These guys are corrupt as fuck, and practically rubbing it in our faces.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Voters are fed up with corruption.
That’s my take.
And you, habibi, are corrupt as fuck.
Wow. Powerful. I believe every word.
Must watch... she's so brave.
“I was one of the child victims of Donald Trump.” Dr. Larissa Portnoff, a clinical psychologist in her 30s, says it began around age 8 and resumed at 16 and 17. She thought she’d escaped “a pedophile ring,” calls Trump “clearly a pedophile and dangerous,” and says someone made an attempt on her life after her report.
Her message: “We need to get the corruption to stop. We need to use our voices. We need to get Donald Trump out of office.” And to Trump: “If you think you’re going to intimidate me, Donald Trump, it’s not going to work. I'm not afraid of you.” Please share. #press #Trump #Corruption #Justice #Accountability #rape
LOL. Elon is such a fucking dick.
I appear to have outwitted the algorithms at X. Which, frankly, is rather like outsmarting a toaster.
Normally, when I write “Trump is a…” followed by something less than flattering, the post limps along with 4,000 or 5,000 views.
But this time, I announced, with all the ceremony of a royal wedding: “Ladies and gentlemen! The President of the United States 🇺🇸”
And suddenly, the algorithm went absolutely nuts. 1.3 MILLION views.
Presumably, the magnificent machinery at X decided this was a stirring tribute to America’s glorious leader and opened the floodgates.
Unfortunately for them, as anyone who watched the video will appreciate, it was nothing of the sort.
I’ve effectively persuaded Trump’s own cheerleading machine to distribute the joke to an enormous audience.
Rather a splendid catch, if I may say so myself.
