The @MicrobialPlanet team compared carbohydrate-active enzyme repertoires of Alteromonas strains to estimate their use of ocean carbohydrates. Diverse enzyme combinations across species highlight niche partitioning patterns that affect the ocean cycle. ow.ly/uuUS50TG4MV
