This has been hinted at before, I believe
Not all data can be inherently good data for them, but we need a Matt Blake for the hitting department. He’s completely transformed our pitching operation. Would love someone to do that and maximize the offense.
One thing I touched on in here that I'd like to dive into more at some point is that the #Yankees' hitters, generally speaking, are not as receptive to analytics as their pitchers. Not saying more buy-in and data will cure their problems, but there has been stark contrast over the years in how the pitching staff embraces and talks about data. That unit obviously gets a lot out of it. Of course, there have been way more advancements in the pitching world with regards to that.

i should be able to click a button at the beginning of a sports season that says “i’m normal” and i don’t get served any ads for crypto or gambling
This is going to set people off but he’s right that the offense pissed down their leg with the exception of Ben Rice
I hope more people realize Cashman and Boone have a long leash because Hal is the one calling all the shots 🤷♂️
Another day where Jeff Crye can admit he wasn’t the strongest athlete in his time, but can’t admit that the athletes of today are even stronger.
The one thing missing from the Junior Caminero HR that has caused a lot of online debate because of the overzealous celebration is how did the ball travel that far when he hit it right above the label?
Everyone knows that the sweet spot is about 3 inches from the end of the bat and about 4 to 5 inches above the label of the bat.
This ball was hit 12-14 inches below the top of the bat and only a couple inches above the label so the question is how?
How did he basically get jammed and still hit this ball over 300 feet?
Maybe Rob Manfred can add some insight huh?

Every other major sports league put the reigning champs on national TV and Major League Baseball said “let’s put the Yankees and Giants on Netflix with fucking Bert Kreischer” lmao 👍
These dorks are gonna grift for a few dollars all year and it won’t remove the stain of getting destroyed by the Knicks in the Finals
I hate how so many sports content creation partnerships and collabs revolve around sports gambling.
I turned down a care package from Fanatics this year, and other possible partnerships for $ that are connected to gambling and prediction markets. Not judging others but it crosses a personal boundary
It’s probably easier to turn down as I never gamble on sports anyway. If people want to bet it’s their prerogative but it is so focused on kids and young adults who don’t see how bad rock bottom can be for gambling addiction.
So many people share sports news from gambling adjacent accounts (Underdog/Draftkings etc) that helps funnel people into the system, and I hope more people stand against this pipeline going forward
Stop listening to TikTok agitators telling you that voting doesn’t help anything or benefit anyone. People have risked their lives for everyone else to have this freedom to vote and powerful people are always trying to disenfranchise you.
Make sure you are registered and know where your current voting location is.

Honest question: If you are not a TV executive, why do you give a fuck about the World Series ratings?
Other program cards include Petey Halpin, Gavin Williams, Cam Booser, Richie Palacios
Again 90 contact in mid October is crazy, and manipulating cards to have one or two trash attributes to bail out with mods sucks
