Fun evening at @LenovoCenter on and around the ice. With a cameo from Chairman and CEO @YuanqingYang, front and center! Great #lenovoanalystevent, @Lenovo!
In the @Qualcomm v @Arm case, Qualcomm won two of the three broad issues in its suit against Arm, winning nominal damages of $2.
Consequentially, the jury ruled that Arm intentionally interfered with Qualcomm's business with @Meta. That will give the judge some latitude on some of the meatier issues still on her plate.
I was in the US District courthouse last week to hear testimony. Read my take:

It doesn't take long to appreciate how much ambient AI can keep you on track. It takes notes, highlights to-do's.
The whole hesitation for me has never been about the value. It's the privacy. And I know I'm not alone.
Amazon just unveiled two new Bee products today, the Bee Frontier, a new wearable, and Bee Eclipse, a magnetic, card-shaped device you can put on the back of your smartphone.
The data is locked down. No one can get to transcripts but you. And it doesn't keep recordings. For others, an LED signals that it's on.

The jury just decided for @Qualcomm that @Arm withheld deliverables due it needed to validate its custom processor cores. And, most importantly for Qualcomm, it decided that Arm violated both facets of California's Unfair Competition Law, or UCL. That frees up Judge Noreika to rule how she sees fit on the bench portion of the trial.
No need to hold your breath here. Lawyers still must return to Wilmington to present closing arguments. And then Judge Noreika will rule. So we're talking weeks or months here, not hours or days.
During the bench trial at the tail end of day 3 in the @Qualcomm v @Arm here in downtown Wilmington, DE, the judge said aloud to Arm CEO @renehaas237 what many of us were thinking. After Haas voiced a stated desire for Qualcomm to succeed, she asked: "Why should I believe you when you say you want them to win," because "I've seen some other things that suggest ... maybe not so much."
Heads up that I'll have a more complete analysis out soon. TBH, though, I will have trouble stating things as succinctly as the judge just now did!

After a 5-hour flight last night compounded by a 3 1/2-hour delay, I was in no mood to do a proper Apple Watch 12 unboxing. So you'll have to settle for the morning-after cleanup task (left). Also, the new Watch on wrist! In the new dark bronze color.
From Wired: ZuckOff app sees Meta Glasses before they see you. Seems that even compelling style brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley aren't enough to prevent a repeat of the 2013 Google Glass backlash. People still see glasses that can record them as invasive.

25 years ago, on 9/11/2001, I was working out before work and saw a news flash with talk of a plane hitting the World Trade Center. And then, as they talked, with a camera transfixed on the towers, we saw the second plane hit the towers as it happened. I'd just returned 9/9 from speaking at an event in Taipei, so I obviously wasn't asleep - but I was not really awake. It made the whole thing seem even more surreal. I couldn't believe I was seeing what I was seeing. Here are a few pictures I took at Ground Zero two months later. What a sea of humans, taking it all in, still trying to wrap their brains around it all. At that moment, it felt like all Americans understood the same situation the same way. Which somehow made it a bit easier to digest.
Here it is! TheApple iPhone Duo. Aspect ratio is the same as both displays, so there's minimal disruption in the view going from one display to the other.
This year, Apple is upping the ante on Apple Watch 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. Says the new watches now have most accurate heart sensing available. Looking forward to evaluating that.
Meantime, good to see that it's incorporating HRV in health/fitness. Much needed improvement.
The focus on intelligence is showing through w/ Siri. It now works with more than 300k apps. So you're not tied to a specific workflow in specific apps. Siri's even in the camera. @Apple #AppleEvent
At ModCon 2026, @Qualcomm CEO @cristianoamon tells developers what they needed to hear: "We did not acquire @Modular to make it a Qualcomm-only software stack ... the opportunity is much bigger than any one company's hardware."
