The Pekka Rinne effect

ALT Quote from Brunette on Rinne that reads: "“Pekka is one of the all-time best goalies, but also human beings and teammates. To see when he's around, to see Roman, Fil, Juice, the guys that play with him, it just kind of uplifts them. It's almost like they don't want to let him down, which is pretty cool to see, and that's the impact that Pekka has had for this organization. That's why he's a Hall of Famer, and he's a Hall of Fame person, too.”

This is why I sleep with a Glock-19 within arms reach of my bed, have firearms access in other rooms of my home. Odds are it never happens, but if it does- you must be ready. Meanwhile, Canada has *banned* new handgun ownership. Disarmed and helpless.

A teacher in Pennsylvania just said what a lot of teachers are afraid to say about our schools..
She says teachers are FORCED to pass kids who are years behind, and they still have to call every parent with something "positive" no matter how bad the child is acting. Even if that child is assauIting teachers.
"This new trend of trying to be inclusive for everyone is pathetic"
Montgomery County, Maryland has a policy that no student can get below a 50% if their work shows "evidence of progress." And in the 2024 national test, 40% of 4th graders were below Basic in reading. 45% of 12th graders were below Basic in math.
A kid can now miss WEEKS of school, fail the tests and still get moved up, so there's no reason for anybody to try.
If teachers are brave enough to say this out loud, why aren't our school boards brave enough to listen..!?
