O-Line OZ (On Body) Man Reach Drill
- The drill focuses on the outside zone "on the body" technique, transitioning from the previous inside zone training.
- The offensive lineman's aiming point gets wider for the outside zone, and he must put his nose directly on the defender's playside number.
- The blocker must bring their backside hand tightly down the middle of the defender's sternum while driving their foot down the crotch.
- Unlike previous variations that begin already fitted, this specific drill starts dynamically from a three-point stance.
- The individual holding the blocking bag must provide proper resistance and actively work with the lineman rather than making the block too easy.
- Linemen must maintain very tight elbows, open up, quickly get their second step into the ground, strike, and work vertically on the proper angle.

On pin and pull, start with the tailback.
His alignment affects how you block the edge, how the pullers fit, and whether he can stay tight to the second puller.
