PGA Tour players may be wealthier because of LIV but the PGA Tour I would argue is much poorer because of LIV …iconic events relegated to qualifying status, fewer tour cards, smaller fields, players who think this is good, players who confuse better compensation with better competition… I’m afraid it will be a slow erosion of excellence, where each compromise seems inconsequential, but the cumulative effect is the quiet destruction of what made the product exceptional.
PGA Tour 2.0... sooo... Waiʻalae, Kapalua, Colonial, Innisbrook (and probably Riviera too)... all cast aside... and major metro markets like Los Angeles, Atlanta & Houston, likely joining them in the "We're not worthy" club...
