Random things that annoy me about modern football, the “draft excluder” Why do teams put a player on the floor behind the wall, percentage wise it makes no sense.
Terry Devlin levels late on for Portsmouth! 💥

Only saw the last 15 mins what happened? Stats suggest Wolves were unlucky not to win? Just not convinced he’s using the talent at his disposal in the right way

Doyle could have made that safer than it was but Wolves did enough. This spell of the season is about winning, just rack up points & move on. Much needed win, got to follow it up now

The Raul news is a big blow, as said previously Wolves have to get better at squad planning. Said on comms on Sat Lankshear was exactly the type of player they should have pushed for. In the meantime it would be Munetsi up top for me, physical presence, work rate & gets goals

That said I’d try Munetsi as the 9, physical, presses well, decent aerially & would allow James to start, he & Fer have such clever movement. Then Bellegarde comes on when one of them tires. Djiga made 1 error then shut down everything else, credit to him. The pieces are there

Now got to put run together, fixtures are there to win, doesn’t need to be pretty that can come, just turn up, win & move on for a month or so. Squad is good enough to be in the picture, it’s a marathon just hang on in there & build momentum 🤞

Some thoughts having come out of wolves retirement for 1 game…. Badly need Raul for matches like this, not having a target 9 & talisman hurt, Boro sat deep having scored & Wolves lacked an effective plan B.

Said was threatening early on but judgment not there yet, at least it was a winger doing winger things. Much prefer players in natural positions, Doyle as a 8/10 feels odd when there are other options. Fer struggled to pick up pace & physicality of it, still the best hope tho

Said before, never underestimate the power of belonging & affinity a club can create when things are right. Those Nuno years were a chapter of such joy they’ve left a lasting imprint on people’s souls

Wolves so far clear as the better side today, should have been out of sight. So much quality to call upon, scoreline makes it look closer than it was. Didn’t need to invite pressure at the end, but winning is the main thing on derby day

Some thoughts on the transfer window, a thread on the way so don’t jump on me for one post without reading it all… Incomings wise they’ve added much needed experience & leadership. Trippier & Raul are huge names for this level & James is an excellent get for the division…

Then there’s the inability to move on certain others. It’s a catch 22, sell early like they did with Joao & they miss out on an inflated fee, wait too long & you end up letting them go cheaply just to get rid. Wolves have to get better at this & quickly

Personally I’d have liked more of a clear out & refresh but it is what it is, they’ve now got to give themselves a chance to push in Jan. Having been at Stoke v Norwich last night I’m more than confident Wolves should be challenging, tho maybe stopping long shots would help.

So close to perfection. If the sponsor logo was the same colour as the badge it would have been 👌
