A little bittersweet as he misses the podium by 4 secs and Ryan Hall's US course record by 6. But still the best marathon of Mantz's life.

Jacob Kiplimo just shattered and took back the half marathon world record, clocking a 56:41 at the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona in Spain! He is the first man in history to break 57 minutes. That averages out to 4:19 per mile for 13.1 miles. 💨
That’s 49 seconds faster than the previous WR— the biggest improvement ever on the men’s half marathon mark. 🤯 Oh, and he also set a 15K world record (39:47) on the way.
Kiplimo is getting ready to make his marathon debut in London in April.
