🇪🇺 In Luxembourg, EU Finance Ministers agreed the Council’s position on the Market Integration Package, paving the way for talks with the European Parliament. We also discussed the competitiveness of the banking sector & the efficiency of public finance.

🛰️ At the groundbreaking ceremony for SES’s new manufacturing facility in Luxembourg. This groundbreaking marks the beginning of the next chapter in SES’s journey. Satellites will not only be operated from Luxembourg, but they will also increasingly be designed and built here.

🇱🇺🤝🇮🇪 I attended the informal ECOFIN meeting in Dublin. We focused on strengthening the competitiveness of the EU banking sector & exploring how financial innovation can support growth & enhance 🇪🇺 resilience. We also addressed the opportunities and challenges presented by AI.

It was a pleasure to address Japanese financial institutions and business leaders gathered by @Deloitte. With 100 years of diplomatic relations approaching and growing cooperation between @LuxFinance and @FinCityTokyo, I look forward to continuing our work together.

In the margins of the meeting of European finance ministers in Brussels, I had a productive exchange with @arthurmensch, CEO of @MistralAI. We discussed the future of artificial intelligence and the opportunities it presents for Luxembourg and Europe. #AI4LUX

Great meeting with Chancellor Rachel Reeves in London. We discussed strengthening 🇱🇺 - 🇬🇧financial cooperation and boosting cross-border investment. As leading financial centres, they can help mobilise private capital to support Europe’s digital, green and security priorities.
