I think ambitious people should treat life in âseasonsâ rather than trying to balance everything every day.
A few years massively overallocated to work. A period getting seriously fit. A year or two nomading. Then family takes priority for a while. Then maybe at 35 you go completely insane again and spend four years building a new company, and so on.
The mistake is thinking every metric needs to stay green all the time. Most great outcomes (building a company, writing sth serious, training for an event) need uninterrupted runs, not daily moderation. Sometimes work should suffer cause youâre travelling, sometimes your social life should suffer cause youâre building, sometimes career progression should slow cause family matters more. Thatâs fine.
And tbh it probably makes life more fun too. You get actual chapters and completely different versions of yourself instead of spending 40 years maintaining the same perfectly optimised routine. A few intense years in one city, a weird nomad phase, an obsession that takes over your life, then something completely different. Probably much more memorable than one very long well-optimised Tuesday.
It's why I encourage everyone to think of balance in years, not days. A good life can look horribly unbalanced on some random Tuesday and still be very balanced over 10 years.
We should all stop with this modern obsession of having a perfectly balanced, optimised life (8 hours sleep, daily cardio + gym, eat well, deep work, etc.)
Most exceptional lives are heavily overallocated somewhere and any pursuit of greatness (in business, art, sport, research) requires big sacrifices.
Online gurus love selling this perfect recipe of life but reality is you only have a 24h day. No way you can sleep 8h, do 10k steps, gym, morning sunlight, read, eat perfectly, do 9h of deep work, see friends, maintain a relationship and somehow be happy through all of it.
I think a better thing for ambitious people is to think of life in seasons: a year obsessed with work, then a period focused on health, family, travel, etc. You can be massively overallocated to one thing for a while without deciding thatâs what your entire life should look like. Balance probably makes more sense measured over years than every single day.
Donât talk to me about AI man, show me how it works!
I end up having so many aha moments when I see someone else use AI in a manner that I never imagined.
There have been too many of these moments off late and frankly, the FOMO is real. Everyoneâs tinkering with Claude Code and Hermes and making their life significantly better while having a lot of fun in the process.
The other day, I demoâd a workflow to my friend Rahul and both of us were like, we should make a show out of this! And dear reader, we did. We made a show out of it.
Presenting to you @shippingwithai, a weekly show that Rahul and I are co-hosting.
A show in which AI goes from Hype to Implementation. Zero bullshit, straight demonstrations.
Every guest walks through a real workflow on screen, the tools, the prompts, the decisions. Every episode is a workflow you can steal.
Weâll do this until AI automates away show business too.

Fable to me when I asked it to make a Dashboard.

No one knows yet what the next form factor for computing will be, and yet there will be a next form factor, and it will seem obvious in retrospect.
What is going on with the Twitter product team? What are they doing so right?
My feed is just đĽthese days.
Just what is @nikitabier cooking there.
Okay, so more is coming. Things are only going to get better, I guess.
Way to go @nikitabier

The goal for your X timeline is to get out of the mainstream algo and the political crusades and find your niche.
You should be able to post about your interests and have friendly, relevant people chime in.
If youâre seeing gas station fight videos, your account is not ramped up yet.
We are working everyday to fix this.
I knew something was up.

Birth of a whole new kind of algorithmic feed.
Interesting times ahead.
Today we are launching my favorite feature of ChatGPT so far, called Pulse. It is initially available to Pro subscribers.
Pulse works for you overnight, and keeps thinking about your interests, your connected data, your recent chats, and more. Every morning, you get a custom-generated set of stuff you might be interested in.
It performs super well if you tell ChatGPT more about what's important to you. In regular chat, you could mention âIâd like to go visit Bora Bora somedayâ or âMy kid is 6 months old and Iâm interested in developmental milestonesâ and in the future you might get useful updates.
Think of treating ChatGPT like a super-competent personal assistant: sometimes you ask for things you need in the moment, but if you share general preferences, it will do a good job for you proactively.
This also points to what I believe is the future of ChatGPT: a shift from being all reactive to being significantly proactive, and extremely personalized.
This is an early look, and right now only available to Pro subscribers. We will work hard to improve the quality over time and to find a way to bring it to Plus subscribers too.
Huge congrats to @ChristinaHartW, @_samirism, and the team for building this.

.@paraschopra is such a star for even just attempting all this through @lossfunk
What an inspiration for not just Indian founders; this is just world class by any measure.

Okay now this product has my attention.
Iâm also 100% behind the growth marketing tactic used here.
Genius!

â˘â â <40ms cold-start time
â˘â â â <300ms transcriptions
â˘â â barely touches battery & just needs 200MB of RAM
â˘â â â no subscription!
First 100 people get it for $19.99 before prices increase to $39.99. If you tweet about, I'll send you a free lifetime license.

Most SaaS founders miss the YouTube keywords that convert.
They chase âwhat is CRM softwareâ â views, no demos. Winners chase âSalesforce alternativesâ â fewer views, 4x higher conversions.
70% decision-stage. 30% awareness.
Whatâs your split?
Just solve the problems of the customer, you don't have to be that much of a cool guy.

ACT TWO EXISTS!
Thrilled to share that the first-ever cohort of Act Two is under way.
Over 70 people from 15+ countries will complete creative projects and share them with the world over the next five weeks.
My heart is full. There are no other words for now.
What happened to the old fun @levie who had the sharpest cleverest takes?
Now it feels like an MBA grad has AI generated his takes.
What a sad decline.
Weâre reaching a point where AI models are capable of executing more and more advanced knowledge work tasks, but weâll need applied agents to tap into their full value.
This is why thereâs so much opportunity in doing domain specific AI agents right now. The combination of deep domain expertise in a vertical or line of business, tapping into existing corporate data, and tailored UX for these workflows that allows users to review or orchestrate the work will be critical.
And because companies will likely have to reimagine their underlying processes to get the full value from agents, this means there will be a high degree of change management needed for many of these most advanced use-cases. This further creates opportunity for dedicated players to attack these spaces.
Wonder when Whatsapp will ship the option to âCopy Link to Messageâ.
