Unfortunately, it has become the very symbol of what it was meant to be against: the glorification of nationalism and the military, instead of a warning against the perils of war.

Fuck yes.
❗️Reuters reports that a Democratic victory in both chambers of Congress on November 3 could open the way for new US aid to Ukraine. The article says such legislation would likely have the two-thirds majorities needed to override a Trump veto. Democrats could also move against Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Russian diesel and waive sanctions on Russian energy. #Ukraine

Trump: “My uncle invented radar....From MIT. Dr. John Trump....He'll probably be upset that I took out Iran's radar.” Who wants to tell him that radar was invented by Scottish physicist Robert Watson-Watt in 1935? How embarrassing.

Worth remembering: Trump has been US president for just over 2% of American history, but added nearly 30% of the national debt. That’s who Elon "DOGE" Musk is funding and supporting. They never cared about the public debt

Trump is giving Putin parts of Alaska for LNG. This is absolute treason
Trump’s sideline Russian hustle falls apart. 🇺🇸‼️ The top management of a US $25 billion gas project in Alaska has resigned amid suspicions that the project is secretly controlled by Russia. The former CEO of Polar Train LNG said that the export terminal is actually financed and controlled by Russia’s Novatek without Washington’s permission. At first, he believed that the money was provided by investor, who is associated with the Trump family, but it turned out that the financing came from Novatek. Russia’s Novatek has been under US sanctions since 2014, and its Arctic LNG 2 project was added to the list in 2023. According to the FT, a swap is being discussed in negotiations with Moscow: Novatek helps with Alaska, and the US lifts sanctions on Arctic LNG 2.

Britain wants the east coast of America back. California can go to Mexico.
Putin says Ukrainian land belongs to Russia because of history. But what happens when we apply his logic to Russia itself? On October 22, Putin once again claimed that Ukrainian territories are historically Russian. “This is not their territory. It’s the territory of historical Russia,” he said. Interesting argument. Let’s apply the same logic to Russia. 🇯🇵 Japan: The Soviet Union seized the southern Kuril Islands in 1945. Japan still claims four of those islands, which Russia controls today. 🇨🇳 China: Vladivostok and large parts of Russia’s Far East were once under China’s Qing dynasty. Russia acquired these territories through treaties in the 19th century. 🇫🇮 Finland: Vyborg and parts of Karelia belonged to Finland before World War II. Finland was forced to surrender them to the Soviet Union. 🇩🇪 Germany: Kaliningrad was once Königsberg, a German city and part of East Prussia until 1945. 🇹🇷 Turkey: The Ottoman Empire once controlled Azov and held territory and influence around the northern Black Sea before Russian expansion. So here’s a question for Putin: Should Japan take back its islands? Should China reclaim Vladivostok? Should Finland reclaim Vyborg? Should Germany reclaim Kaliningrad? Of course, historical possession does not automatically give any country the right to seize territory today. Most of these countries do not even make such claims. And that is precisely the point. If every country started invading its neighbors to recover territory it controlled centuries ago, where would it end? Ukraine is an internationally recognized sovereign country. Russia recognized its borders. History is not a license to invade. And Ukraine does not belong to Russia simply because Putin says it does. Stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦 Sources: Reuters (October 22, 2026); historical records and territorial treaties. So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.

🚨 BREAKING: LINUX IS NOW FACING TWO CRITICAL SECURITY VULNERABILITIES, AND THERE ARE NO OFFICIAL KERNEL FIXES YET. Both rated 9.0/10 in severity. One could allow hackers to take control of vulnerable servers WITHOUT EVEN LOGGING IN. And the most alarming part? The flaws were made PUBLIC before patches were ready. Here's what's happening: → TWO CRITICAL RCE FLAWS: Both affect KSMBD, Linux's built-in SMB file server. → NO PASSWORD REQUIRED: One vulnerability could allow unauthenticated attackers to execute malicious code on vulnerable servers. → KERNEL-LEVEL ACCESS: Successful exploitation could potentially give attackers control within the Linux kernel itself. → NO MAINLINE PATCH YET: Both vulnerabilities were publicly disclosed before official kernel fixes were available. → DISCOVERED BY AI: Trend Micro's AI-powered security scanner identified the flaws. → SERVERS AT RISK: Linux systems running the vulnerable KSMBD service need immediate attention, especially if port 445 is exposed. First PHP. Then Node.js. Then GitLab. Then Python. NOW LINUX. And this time, the vulnerabilities are PUBLIC before the fixes are ready. If you manage Linux servers, CHECK YOUR EXPOSURE NOW.
🚨 BREAKING: IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE. NOW PYTHON IS FACING A MASSIVE SECURITY EMERGENCY. Python's security team has issued an URGENT warning after a certificate authority compromise put Python's HTTPS security at risk. → 8 CERTIFICATE AUTHORITY KEYS COMPROMISED. Some were so weak they could be cracked almost INSTANTLY. → FAKE TRUSTED WEBSITES: Attackers could potentially impersonate Python.org, PyPI and other websites during intercepted connections. → MALICIOUS DOWNLOADS: Vulnerable environments could be tricked into downloading software from attacker-controlled servers. → YOUR OS PATCH MAY NOT PROTECT YOU: Older versions of pip can STILL trust compromised certificates even after system updates. → EMERGENCY UPDATES: Python developers are being told to immediately update pip, certifi, uv and other affected tools. → DOCKER USERS AT RISK: Existing container images may retain vulnerable certificate stores and need rebuilding. First PHP. Then Node.js. Then GitLab. Then LiteLLM. NOW PYTHON. The very systems developers rely on to establish TRUST online are becoming the attack surface. If you use Python, PATCH NOW.

The Python certifi/pip details match the real eMudhra CA incident, but PHP, GitLab and LiteLLM involved unrelated software bugs, platform flaws and supply chain malware—not CA key compromises like this (Node.js patched concurrently for the same CA issue). discuss.python.org/t/information-… emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com github.com/advisories/GHS… docs.litellm.ai/blog/security-… snyk.io/blog/php-patch…

KSMBD is a rarely used optional in-kernel SMB server distinct from the common Samba implementation; it is not enabled or shipped by default on major distributions like RHEL, and the flaws affect only systems explicitly running it with port 445 exposed. thehackernews.com/2026/10/two-cv… threatlandscape.io/blog/ksmbd-zdi…
