While circumnavigating the globe in 1929, aviator Baron von Koenig-Warthausen received a rare Siamese cat named Tanim from the princess of Siam. Tanim was happy flying around the world in a specially designed cat compartment installed by the Baron in his plane. However, Tanim also caused some trouble. During a stopover in Texas, the Baron was presented with three horned toads that Tanim promptly devoured. While the plane was being transported across the Pacific on a ship, Tanim managed to eat the captain’s canary. #cat #cats #catlovers #catlore
