As we keep stating over and over again, PNC is just barking at an old, irrelevant politician. Their defence, "Just trust Muizzu." There are two problems with that.
1. Muizzu has already lost the TRUST of most people. He throws out promises everywhere like he has a God complex. If someone asked him on an island visit to turn all the sand into GOLD, he'd say YES without a second thought. He did the same in 2023 campaign. He has no clear policy and no HIKMAH. In April, people rejected his plan to hold the elections together by a huge margin about 69% voted NO ❌ (No to Muizzu).
2. Even if Muizzu were the all-good, trustworthy, patriotic Muslim leader they claim him to be, he is very unlikely to win the next election. And the one waiting to take over is Anni, who stands against everything we hold dear.
You're deflecting so you don't have to answer your constituents and the people. We can all see through it. You use Sheikh Imran as a scapegoat to avoid answering us. That's why we're so suspicious of his role. We strongly suspect he was planted by Nasheed or Muizzu to discredit the people opposing the sale of our national assets.

I have one question: Why are you so eager to invest in Rasmale (Maldives) and develop a real estate business when over 90% of Maldivians oppose granting residency to a large foreign population and settling them in the Maldives?
To promote your project, you have brought Maldivian journalists to Dubai. This has raised concerns among the public, and many people now suspect that there may be a hidden agenda behind the project.
Please note that Muizzu is the most incompetent and corrupt president in our history. His popularity is extremely low, and there is a strong belief that he will not be re-elected. The next government will cancel the agreement.
I urge you to conduct independent research to understand the true public sentiment in the Maldives. You could also ask Muizzu to hold a public referendum to determine whether the Maldivian people support this project. If the outcome is favourable, you can proceed with the Rasmale project.

🚨 JUST IN: The Public Accounts Committee this morning approved an increase in the Chief Justice’s salary from 91,000 to 95,000.
The proposal was made by Funadhoo MP Mohamed Mamdhooh and endorsed by Kela MP Abdul Shareef.
Their justifications are a mockery of the public’s intelligence.
Just a few days ago, these same MPs justified increasing the Speaker’s salary on the grounds that he was earning less than Deputy Speaker Saleem.
Today, they justified increasing the Chief Justice’s salary on the grounds that he now earns less than the Speaker.
UPDATES: After further deliberations, or rather confusions, once again Funadhoo MP Mohamed Mamdhooh proposed:
1. Additional allowance for Parliament Speaker: 22,000. Increasing speakers salary to 95,000.
2. Increase ministers’ drivers’ car fuel allowance from 1,000 to 2,000
3. Ministers’ drivers’ basic salary to: 12,000
4. Additional living allowance for ministers’ drivers: 3,000
That brings a minister’s driver’s total monthly package to MVR 17,000. It used to be some 6000.

Trump uses century old trade laws to impose tariffs on countries. Guizzu uses a 42 year old convention to pass a law to ban Maldivians from talking against Israel, UAE, Zionists and Jews. Using this propose law, a corrupt judge could easily interpret a social media post against Zionists as inciting violence against them (a group), putting lives at risk. They can cite much evidence from other countries, such as the Bondi Sydney terrorist attack against Jews and argue that even though Jews don’t live in Maldives, Maldivians or certain Maldivian groups are capable of carrying out terrorist attacks against Jews abroad (supported by gang fights, drug cases, the UAE pilot case and other cases where Maldivians have been involved in abroad etc.).
