A domain can look exactly like apple.com without actually being apple.com. Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) allow non-Latin characters such as Cyrillic and Greek to appear in domains. Some characters are visually identical to Latin letters—for example, Cyrillic а, е, о, р, с, у, х can look just like their Latin counterparts. A scammer can register a domain using these lookalike characters, and your browser may render it in a way that looks exactly like apple.com. The underlying domain is different and has a separate Punycode representation, but you may never notice it. Even the padlock doesn’t prove you’re on the legitimate site. The fix isn’t ā€œlook closely.ā€ Sometimes you simply can’t tell by looking. Browsers need stronger mixed-script/homograph protection, and users should check the actual domain/Punycode when something feels suspicious.
This is a real nightmare for users who insist they’re on the correct domain. What you see with your own eyes isn’t always trustworthy. We’ll soon push curated dApp domains and contract verification directly into our dApp list. This is a top priority. We need to make it much harder for scammers to trick innocent users into approving malicious contracts on fake dApps and websites. Send new users our way. We’ll help keep them safe.

This post may cause me problems and probably make some people here resent me, but I’m going to say it anyway because people should understand what is happening. There are paid creators whose content consistently attacks Chinese open models, and the same three claims keep coming up: they are distilled from American models, your data is unsafe with Chinese companies, and they are benchmaxed. On distillation, there may be some truth in specific cases, but the argument is usually stretched far beyond what the evidence supports. American models were themselves trained on copyrighted human work, including books and culturally valuable material, without permission. This has already been documented with two major companies. So the knowledge inside those models cannot suddenly be treated as something those companies exclusively own. The accusations also become ridiculous sometimes. People claimed Kimi K3 was distilled from Fable when Fable had been public for roughly two days. Are we seriously supposed to believe a model of that scale and capability was basically created by distilling another model for two days? And reducing Chinese progress to distillation dismisses the work of researchers and engineers who have contributed heavily to this industry. Then there is the privacy argument. American companies store user data too, and they benefit from it. Use ChatGPT long enough and it builds memory about you. Cancel, come back months later, and that information will still be there. Your conversations also follow you between devices because the data is stored in the cloud. So I do not understand why storing and using data becomes a unique crime when the company is Chinese. If you are terrified of your data being held in China but completely comfortable with the same thing happening in America, that is not a privacy principle. It is a double standard. You cannot praise memory, personalization and cloud features from one company, then use the same underlying behavior as evidence that another company is dangerous. And then we get to my favorite accusation: Chinese models are ā€œbenchmaxed.ā€ The argument is that they are optimized to score well on benchmarks and therefore their numbers do not represent real-world performance. American labs optimize heavily for benchmarks too. Every major lab knows the evaluations people watch. They train, tune and compare models around them. Benchmarks influence what gets shipped and how models are marketed. So if a Chinese model gets a high score and your response is ā€œbenchmaxed,ā€ you cannot turn around and use an American model’s benchmark score as proof that it is smarter. This is exactly why I care far more about real use than leaderboards. You can have a model like Opus 5 sitting on the top of major benchmarks, sometimes above Fable, Sol and Kimi K3, while in my own daily work it hallucinates more and performs worse than all of them. If Chinese models are benchmaxed, American models are benchmaxed too. That is why these three arguments do not convince me. Too often they are used selectively, and behind a lot of this rhetoric I see fear of Chinese competition. China has cheaper energy, cheaper labor and extremely talented researchers. It has managed to remain competitive despite restrictions and limited access to the most advanced chips. American companies, meanwhile, increasingly treat that competition as something existential rather than normal competition. Use whatever works for you. Test the models yourself. Learn where each one is strong and where it fails. Do not let anyone else do your thinking for you.

One trend in AI genuinely worries me. Companies are racing almost entirely toward coding and agentic work, while areas like writing, style, taste, conversation, and general knowledge are barely improving. Models keep getting more capable, but increasingly feel rigid, soulless, and stripped of any real identity. I understand why. Coders and agent users drive the market. But long term, spending hours talking to models that feel this lifeless cannot be good for us as humans. I think this will damage how humans communicate with each other and make people more rigid too.

Promises kept. Brick by brick. The new Promises Kept page is a full chronological overview of the commitments made in the TempleOS Telegram group and beyond: each promise paired with what actually shipped as the deliverable, so you can follow how the work stacked up over more than 18 months. JIT Compiler, Divine Manager automation, Partner infrastructure, Public analytics, Education tools, and more! Open and declined items stay labeled honestly. To celebrate, because we know you guys love this kind of stuff, the Liquidity Pools modal now has a 'Volume' view. Drag and slide the token-pair bubbles. They move with physics. Lines between them are real Divine Manager routes, so you can compare route volume across our ecosystem. Pools show what is available. Volume shows how activity moved, have fun! holycpls.vercel.app/promises…

Back on X. The account went quiet for a stretch. The project did not. Since March, TempleOS has kept shipping: more routes, a stronger Divine Manager, and the website now loads full arb history instantly so you can follow every step without waiting. Partner buy-and-burn now covers $BRIAH $COINMAFIA $DUMB and $FUPA, and a clearer dashboard shows live arbs visually, with the pools actually used. There's speculation the OA could be spinning up validators, among other things. Either way, it's worth establishing what validator stake actually buys you, and what it actually costs to take over a blockchain (because why not). Bitcoin 51%, control the chain ~$20B, ~1.5% of mcap Ethereum 33%, stall finality ~$37B, ~16% of mcap Ethereum 51%, control blocks ~$78B, ~33% of mcap Ethereum 66%, rewrite history ~$150B, ~64% of mcap But the $ figure is kind of irrelevant, because neither one is actually obtainable by any realistic measure. Bitcoin's $20B means adding ~960 EH/s of hash power which is roughly 3.5 million ASICs and ~13 GW of electricity looool. About the entire electricity draw of the Netherlands. Those machines don't exist on a shelf, they'd take a year or two to produce and even if you could get them which you cant, you'd need to build and finance dozens of substation to power them which would take the best part of a decade and 10 figures to get over the line. Long story short, it ain't happening. And Ethereum is even more cooked for an attacker. 66% means getting your hands on 78M of the 82M unstaked coins that even exist, so you're trying to buy 94% of every loose ETH out there.... cold wallets and ETFs included. Good luck. The exit queue for staking is basically empty bc nobody wants out, and the entry queue is backed up for a couple months rn. So even if you somehow had the coins you couldn't switch them on in any reasonable timeframe. Oh and even if you could get 94% of the unstaked supply, which you cant, you're going to be pushing the market against yourself while buying them so $150B easily becomes several hundred billion.. maybe even a trillion.. Better call Elon 😁 That's what real security looks like.. It's not expensive, it's just flat out unavailable. Infinite money doesn't get it done. And even if it did, the moment you attacked Ethereum, a big chunk of that stake gets slashed and burned anyway. It ain't happening. * * * Now PulseChain. PulseChain 33%, stall finality ~$5M PulseChain 51%, control the chain ~$10.5M PulseChain 66%, rewrite history ~$20M On the bridge today, the real extractable value actually liquid on the chain today. There’s ~$43M gated by $10M of stake. Two thirds of PulseChain's entire consensus costs less than half of what's sitting on the bridge. Bitcoin and Ethereum, on top of the exorbitant amount of money required, are protected by physics and supply and infrastructure that's very hard to obtain, so no amount of money actually solves them. PulseChain is protected by a number. And that's not a dig, it's just what a young chain is. Bitcoin itself was attackable with a few laptops in 2010. Security's a ratio. Nobody puts a big lock on a cheap bike, but the moment it's worth something, the lock needs to catch up. And yess, scooping up $20M of PLS in a market this thin isn't easy ofc. The liquidity isn't there to just buy it outright. But that's the only real friction. There are already big holders sitting on big cumulative stake, whales who could port into validators, or a few of them banding together, and suddenly you're most of the way there. Orders of magnitude easier than on BTC or ETH. Difficult but nowhere near impossible. (Side note, the bridge waits 96 blocks for a reason. That's roughly the finality window, so it won't release funds until the source chain has finalized and a cheap reorg can't undo it. But the bridge is only one door. That value doesn't sit still once it's on chain, it's spread across DEXs, LPs and contracts, and none of that waits 96 blocks for anything.) So anyway, back to the OA... No idea what they're doing, maybe nothing. But if that PLS is for validators, ask yourself why. If anyone were putting serious money onto a chain this green, you'd want the lock sorted before the bike's worth stealing. Just saying.
Another ~300b OA $PLS on the move. What's the bigger plan here?

My activities are still very limited at the moment. I have been doing some writing, however–thank God. I'm so relieved to be once again doing something creative and useful. I have also been watching Professor Paul Kengor's The Dark Side of Marxism from @petersonacademy.Ā Ā  It does not feature the Marx portrayed by the woke university socialist acolytes (to put it mildly). I interviewed @DrPaulKengor a year ago or so ago on my podcast. He's a truly engaging, creative and witty storyteller and lecturer. It turns out that Old Karl was quite the satanic soul. He was a parasite economically all his life, extorting continual support from his long-suffering relatives. He wrote (and admired) purposefully demonic poetry and drama. Most disturbing, however, was his choice of favorite quote. From Goethe's Faust, it's a line I have quoted many times, in consequence of its sheer existential horror. It's Mephistopheles presenting his identity and central credo: ā€œI am the Spirit that endlessly denies! And rightly, too; for all that comes to birth Is fit for overthrow, as nothing worth; Wherefore the world were better sterilized; Thus all that's here as Evil recognized Is gain to me, and downfall, ruin, sin. The very element I prosper in.ā€ I wonder if Zohran Mamdani @NYCMayor knows of the inclination of his apparent intellectual hero?

Congratulations idiots! Shout out to KelpDAO for getting hacked for $280M today. Great work with that 1/1 signature setup. Shout out to Drift Protocol getting hacked for $285 last week. All you idiots could stop giving your money to other idiots that don't understand security. But you won't lol. Because you're dumb. HEX 2,330 days flawless operation. No admin keys. PulseChain 1,073 days flawless operation. No admin keys. PulseX nearly the same as PulseChain. No admin keys. ProveX, quite new and the token has no admin keys. It's like, when will you silly billies get it? We actually do things better here, and have been doing so for over half a decade. Reward greatness already. It's here waiting for lift off.

Bear trend, bull trend, whatever you want to call it. But have you actually looked at what CoinMafia is building on PulseChain? Easy to trash the chain when you’re only staring at weak projects and ignoring the ones still expanding.

there are ~75,000 $MAFIA left for sale. not millions not even close 75k. at $1.43 that’s basically nothing in crypto terms… a few decent buyers clear that. now add: • 2,000 validators (buy pressure machine) • constant burns • shrinking supply this isn’t a chart it’s a countdown ā³ every buy isn’t just a buy… it’s removing future opportunity. #CoinMafia #MAFIA #GOTTI #Crypto #StayBuilding #1000validators
