Celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth as we highlight the history of African American theatre & prominent black artists!
Williams Henry Brown became the first Black playwright in America & is said to have written the first play by a Black playwright in the US, The Drama of King Shotaway.
Since then, there have been many Black dramatists who have contributed both to Black theater & American literature as a whole.
This month (& always), I encourage you to read, listen, learn and continue to educate others about contributions of Black dramatists and authors! #BHM
RED today for #AmericanHeartMonth ❤️❤️❤️
