Today we continued our EOG prep with another student led project! Groups created posters focused on one ELA standard, explained how to show mastery of it, and tomorrow will create questions for a text that address their standard for their classmates to answer🎉 @WhiteOakElem

There is overwhelming research showing homework does little to improve achievement, especially in early years, and can actually have negative effects. Recess however has many positive effects such as improved self regulation of emotions, improved interpersonal skills and focus!
After reading this article a few weeks back, I knew I needed to make some changes in my classroom. I set up a space for a reading graffiti wall and we began using it today. They absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to see more of their responses to their books!😃 @WhiteOakElem
