Today’s Mi’kmaw word of the day is Kjipuktuk, which means great harbour. The word Chebucto is an anglicized version of Kjipuktuk and our school is lucky to have some beautiful views of the harbour!

The adventure continues! 🐧🐧
This morning, Edward and Annie explored Shedd’s rotunda. They are a bonded pair of rockhopper penguins, which means they are together for nesting season. Springtime is nesting season for penguins at Shedd, and this year is no different! (1/3) 👇

Sometimes the best PD is the teacher down the hall! Mme Wynn and myself spent the morning with Mrs. MacKay, our SLP, who shared many wonderful oral language ideas with us. @miss_krobinson let us visit her class during story workshop this afternoon. In between, we created centres!
