I wonder how most Brits feel when they hear Jews say they no longer feel safe in the UK?

Newsweek just published an article about the Michigan Senate race opining that, "Activist and writer Amy Siskind suggested this week that El-Sayed’s campaign may be betting it can win without the support of most Jewish voters. Michigan’s electoral demographics suggest that strategy could work. The state has roughly twice as many registered Muslim voters as Jewish voters."
Did the supersubtle journalists at Newsweek think that the 1.4 million Black Michiganders might not be enamored of voting for a pathological liar and bigot. Since they comprise 13% of the state's population I think their political preferences might be the deciding factor on November 3rd.

Horrendous antisemitism in schools is coming from all directions but @LauraTrottMP is right to point the finger at the government and its rhetoric which helps lead to a climate of hate.

Just once, I’d love to see trans activists and their supporters answer @jk_rowling’s measured and cogent arguments without misrepresenting them or screaming insults.
They could start by reading her latest piece and addressing what she actually says, rather than what they imagine she is secretly thinking.
Too much to ask?

"One possible reason for the fact that unions have been so ineffective in addressing women’s concerns and defending the rights of female members is offered by the government’s most recent statistics on union membership. This reveals that higher earners and higher educated employees are both more likely to be trade union members. As mentioned above, gender ideology has taken far greater hold in elite institutions and professions, which have then sought to impose it downwards. Union leaders these days appear to have abandoned their historic role as defenders of the working class, in favour of defending their own luxury beliefs."
Thank you for recognising this @jk_rowling we want to fill the gap

“Trans activism doesn’t hurt women in the upper echelons of media, publishing and academia, who don’t need a changing room at work and who feel a snobbish disdain for working class women who don’t want to strip off in front of heterosexual males who’ve ‘identified’ into the women’s changing room.”
As ever JK Rowling nails it beautifully.
Read her essay. Every line is pure gold.
As always @jk_rowling nails it.
“It’s true, of course, that trans activism doesn’t impact all women negatively. In fact, the more privileged you are, the less it tends to affect you, and the more it might benefit you. Aside from an avalanche of death, rape and torture threats, it hasn’t noticeably affected my life. Nor does it hurt wealthy women who repost the vogueish mantras while sitting in dressing rooms guarded by private security guards. It doesn’t hurt women in the upper echelons of media, publishing and academia, who don’t need a changing room at work and who feel a snobbish disdain for working class women who don’t want to strip off in front of heterosexual males who’ve ‘identified’ into the women’s changing room. Trans activism doesn’t hurt headline-hungry female politicians whose attitude to women’s rights is ‘whatever is good for me personally’. On the contrary, trans activism has been good for those women. It’s fashionable, and keeps them popular with their progressive tribe, and costs them, personally, absolutely nothing.”
Power couples talk to each other all the time about their work. You think Jonathan Powell would be married to a woman whose politics he abhors?
He and Sarah Helm are a power couple. This isn’t a stretch. If she thinks it - he probably does too.
Jonathan Powell should not be our National Security Adviser. His wife defends terrorists. They’re a bog standard Westminster, in-the-bubble, power couple.
Jonathan Powell’s position would be untenable under a strong leader.
So why won’t Burnham sack him? You really don’t need to be a political nerd such as I to work that one out…

Important, heartfelt and magisterial as ever from JKR. In particular, her class analysis of gender ideology is of characteristic unerring accuracy.

The speaker of the House of Commons is absolutely correct here. Policy should be announced first in the house to elected members. Not in the media.

Replying to @AmaraSophia
Maybe that's to do with the fact that Jewish people are 117 times more likely to be subject to abuse than the average person, 10 times more likely than Muslims.
A little research may help your journalism be more accurate and less biased.
You're welcome.
