Then he tells one of them, "Your brother assaulted a federal agent." 18 U.S.C. § 111 is the federal law against assaulting, resisting or interfering with a federal officer doing his job. Assault with physical contact carries up to 8 years in federal prison. Add a dangerous weapon or an injury and it's up to 20. US Attorney @USAttyEssayli says two US citizens were charged under § 111 for this. His office has now charged more than 100 of these cases. Now Democrats like Nithya Raman are blaming ICE for blocking the ER. Agents formed that line because a mob was surrounding them. The ones who turned a hospital into a battleground were the Rabid Responders, not ICE. These agents came to get a detainee medical care and got attacked for it. Now two people are facing federal charges.
