Regarding distribution, it was mostly a free mint + a botted low price public and the top holder hold 5% of the supply.
If it was a cashgrab, there are some efforts behind it, original art + fully onchain on ETH.

On Opensea, look at the blockchain details of your NFT
Decentralized: means that image is stored offchain on a decentralized storage provider.
Centralized: Offchain and stored on the project's own server.
Onchain Metadata: Only metadata is onchain.
Fully onchain = 👍
Pixel art NFTs have no excuse to not be fully onchain.
Especially with current gas prices.
Fully onchain means the image stays accessible until the last block of the chain.
Offchain storage is less reliable and you can end up with an NFT that points to nothing.
Unfortunately, once everyone who actually tries to believe in the collections they like gets exhausted from watching the ongoing NFT comedy (and from serving as exit liquidity), the only people left will be the “traders” flipping pieces for $1 the same way they do with memecoins.

You could have held onto a void palette before the latest update, unlike this one which has been WETH'ed yesterday.
