College Fall Ball is here!!! I was sad to miss @UNCGSoftball vs. @NCATSOFTBALL after all the years in Greensboro, but had a blast watching @LionUpSoftball for the first time! @LionUpAthletics
Thank you to Betsy with @UNCGSoftball for starting the weekend off with a walk-off bomb!
Had fun flipping pancakes for my daughters’ High School today. Great group cooking for a great group of students.
I have many huge things for which I’m thankful (especially family/friends related), and I also have a “little thing” for which I give thanks. This semester I have an office across campus. I found a picturesque route that goes through some woods that warms my heart each morning.
Here’s a cool story about a Research Fellows program that I help with! Through this program we are pulling back the curtain on the hidden curriculum so that everyone is aware of these life-changing experiences!
From first-year students exploring their first lab to juniors diving into enzyme research, UNCG students are discovering what’s possible when you just say yes to opportunities.

I’ve been fortunate to watch @UNCGSoftball for the past three Fridays! Three W’s and lots of 💣’s!
The @UNCG Chancellor just talked about being in an athletic stance to respond to the changing directions of and threats to higher education. He made the intelligent choice of a graphic by using @UNCGSoftball! #LetsGoG
Here's a really nice write-up about some undergraduate research projects from different departments. In particular, I love that they did a story on a project by two art students. Undergraduate research, scholarship, and creativity is impacting lives across campus! @UNCGResearch
Greener chemistry. Pollinator-friendly rest stops. Medicinal plants.
UNCG students share how their summer research is making a real-world impact, thanks to a one-of-a-kind program.

I’m SUPER excited to publish something that we’ve been working on since just before COVID. This one has several undergrads, MS, and PhD students’ hands on this. Thanks to @UNCG it is open access as well! Enjoy this read! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…
Having a great first week with my new position as Director of @UNCG_URSCO! Yesterday we welcomed in about 70 Research Fellows who are first year undergrads and today we celebrated students who were funded to do summer research. It’s great to celebrate changing lives!
As one door closes, another one opens. Yesterday I finished my position of Interim Dean of @GreensboroNano and today I started as the Director of @UNCG_URSCO! I’ll miss my @ncatsuaggies friends, but I enjoy being back on the @UNCG campus. Fun times ahead!
Great day to catch a @UNCGSoftball win! Looks even better with the new scoreboard! @UNCG
Within the last 24 hours I got to watch @UNCGSoftball play three games (including a victory over UConn) and hosted @GreensboroNano in the Spartan Spot to watch @UNCGBasketball beat Western Carolina. Great weekend so far! @UNCG
Had a great time watching @UNCGSoftball play Ohio State. They were tied after six but Ohio State ended up pulling ahead in the seventh. Great game!
Had a great time at the @UNCGBasketball vs @ncatbasketball game today. Brought a bunch of @GreensboroNano researchers to the game, and since we are all with both @UNCG and @ncatsuaggies we were guaranteed a win!
Here's a great story of an @GreensboroNano faculty member developing environmentally important uses of biochar! @UNCG uncg.edu/news/uncg-studies-b…
On Saturday my younger two had a great tournament and then finished the day with holiday lights at the @GSOSciCenter and even ride a @UNCG horse on the carousel!
I love finishing the work week on a good note. This week it was a great seminar by @uncg_chem faculty Jerry Walsh who gave an amazing summary of his career and then outdoor group meeting!
