Chief Resident Highlight 2024 - Dr. Mo Hadzipasic Graduating Chief Resident Dr. Hadzipasic @MoHadzipasic is a star surgeon, and the epitome of grace under pressure. Muhamed 'Mo' Hadzipasic came to MGH having completed an MD PhD at @YaleMed. Over the next seven years, Mo distinguished himself with his work ethic and his ability to perform any case with the highest degree of proficiency. One of the most versatile surgical talents the program has seen, Mo was greatly influenced by @JohnHShinMD and @ShankarLabMGH, @Twilli7, @jvcoumans to pursue a career in spine surgery. During his elective years, Dr. Hadzipasic investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying degenerative spine disease in the @ShankarLabMGH , with the goal of developing fibrosis-targeting therapies as a non-operative management strategy for spinal stenosis, winning a prestigious @NASSspine research award to further the work. Next year Dr. Hadzipasic will pursue a fellowship @ClevelandClinic before returning to join the faculty @MGHNeurosurg as an Assistant Professor. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Hadzipasic back to the neurosurgery faculty @MGHNeurosurg!
