Look at it this way. Adult men in Ukraine can’t leave the country, they could be abducted randomly on the street and forced into the army at any moment, and there aren’t any elections. There won’t be any in the foreseeable future. It’s functionally a concentration camp if you’re an adult man. On top of getting regularly bombed. And Russia is completely sanctioned and isolated. You can’t access much of the Western internet without VPN. Very chaotic and unpredictable. And more and more drone attacks. Now look at Belarus. No war. No random abductions into the military. The internet is fully accessible. Free to leave and enter. Western brands all still operate in the country. As long as you don’t criticize Lukashenko, it’s objectively the best East Slavic country at the moment.
