Môn Search and Rescue 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Last nights training (if it ain't raining, it ain't training!) was all about navigation, including the use of a compass and paper maps, as you can't always rely on electronic devices. Not the best night for outdoor training so 👏👏👏 to everyone who turned out.

The team are out once again on a training exercise in the Aberfraw area refreshing their knowledge on how to deal with finding a missing person with Autism. There will also be the usual casualty packaging and stretcher carrying training !

The team were called out at 02.00 Hrs this morning to assist NWP in a search for a high risk vulnerable male in the Amlwch area. Thankfully the person was located safe and well by the R936 helicopter just as team members were arriving on scene.

Tonight we held a team debrief on last week's 5-day missing person search; 9 members joined online. We discussed what went well but, more importantly, what could be done better next time. This feeds into our continuous improvement and training programme. #LowlandRescue #SAR
