A graphic says "we have a sale." A 15-second video shows the person, the product and the room. For a local shop I'd pick the video every time. Shoot it on your phone, put the point in the first line, post one a week.

A mistake I see a lot on restaurant Instagram pages: the feed is all polished food shots and nobody in it. Post the cook plating, the Friday rush, the owner saying hi at the door. Locals follow faces, and faces are free to film.

Reply speed is marketing. Someone DMs your shop asking about price. Answer in an hour and you look serious. Answer in three days and they've already messaged someone else. Turn on notifications and save two canned replies for the common questions.

Common ad mistake: sending every click to the homepage. Someone sees an ad for one thing, lands on a page about everything, and leaves. Send the ad to a page about that one thing with one button. It is the cheapest fix I know.

Most small business posts end without telling people what to do next. Pick one action per post: call, book, order, or DM. A post with no next step is just content. I'd rather see fewer posts that each ask for one thing.
