Thank you all so much for watching the EarthBound Analysis Series.
After just about 4 years, I can’t believe it’s really finished.
Beyond that, I can’t believe just how many people tuned in for each episode.
I hope you’ll join me for the next one.
The Item Guy from Mother 3 is a reference to a song Shigesato Itoi wrote the lyrics for, called "Knit Cap Man," for the Moonriders.
Itoi even starred in its music video!

Illustration of Ninten by manga artist Shinbō Minami, the original designer for the characters of MOTHER, at the request of Shigesato Itoi.
Itoi recently asked Minami to draw Ninten again, as he sees him now, for MOTHER's 37th anniversary.
"Young people today don’t have the opportunity to play games from 10 years ago"
Wow, if only there was something you could do about that.
Shigeru Miyamoto says remakes are a good way to introduce older games to younger players and increase the chances of future games as well!
“Some people might say there are a lot of remakes, but after five years, a lot of people have outgrown games and stop playing them.
Young people today don’t have the opportunity to play games from 10 years ago, so remaking them to be more playable and releasing them again is a good way to meet the demand. Letting people know the original games also leads to future developments, so we’ve been actively pursuing that recently.”

It’s surprising to me how many people are under the impression only what’s intended matters in art, and just disregard the unintentional or perceived unintentional as suddenly not a part of the experience.
A work of art is the sum of its parts, not just the parts you like.
To add to this-
I’d like to point out Porky pretty much only ever lies throughout the games.
Why should we trust him as a reliable narrator in any situation?
