It will take all of us to overcome the pandemic. Grateful to @SecFudge for speaking with housing advocates on the need to more quickly distribute rental (and mortgage) assistance, while ensuring vaccinations are easily accessible to vulnerable South Carolinians.

It was great to join @WhipClyburn and Mayor Steve Benjamin yesterday in @CityofColumbia, South Carolina to highlight the importance of vaccinations and discuss housing-related issues. Together, we can overcome this pandemic and expand access to stable & resilient housing for all.

This weekend we will observe Juneteenth, the day in which we commemorate the end of slavery in the US. In recognition of this day, @Habitat_org has made Juneteenth a global holiday. I encourage everyone to use today and tomorrow as days of reflection and solidarity.
