Lost about $100k on @AbstractChain
For the first time in my life, I've decided not to create hundreds of alts, hold coins, etc.
Sometimes I don't understand how, with such opportunities and so much money raised, you can FAIL so spectacularly (they can easily TGEd at few bil back in 2025).
Don't believe the team when they say they've been working on "something". They abandoned Abstract back in August 2025 and haven't delivered a single thing, apart from siphoning off tens of millions via all sorts of ‘vibecoded’ dApps, whilst explicitly promising a TGE in Q4 2025.
What's more, just a month ago they were making calls to the chain most active members and promising some really big news.
Well, that really is big news.

[SECURITY NOTICE] Bitget Hot Wallet Incident — September 24, 2026
At 18:31 UTC on September 24, 2026, Bitget's security systems detected unauthorized transfers from some of our hot wallets. Our security team activated emergency response protocols immediately.
What we have confirmed:
-Estimated funds affected: approximately $351.6 million
-Cold wallets remain fully secure. Bitget operates a three-tier wallet architecture — the breach contained only a portion of the hot wallet and warm wallet layers.
-User funds are safe. The full amount of this loss falls within the coverage of Bitget's User Protection Fund, which currently holds over $464 million
Actions we have taken:
-Emergency response team activated within minutes of detection
-Abnormal transfer addresses identified, flagged, and reported
-Withdrawals temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure, pending security review
-Law enforcement and on-chain security firms have been formally notified and are engaged
What this means for you:
-Your account balances are accurate and your assets are protected
-Deposits and trading remain fully operational
Withdrawals are temporarily paused and will be restored as soon as the security review is complete
-What comes next: We will provide updates on an hourly basis across this channel and all official platforms. A full incident report — including root cause analysis and corrective actions — will be published within 24 hours. We will not speculate on the attack vector until the investigation is complete.
Bitget has navigated multiple market cycles. We will not run from this. Every dollar and every decision will be accounted for, transparently and in full.
Updates will be posted here and across all official Bitget channels as they become available.

I'd like to raise a concern about a potential sybil issue on @AbstractChain.
If you are a long-time user/creator/investor/player and care about XP on the chain, this post is for you.
We don't know what XP will be used for yet, but if there are going to be future rewards or perks, as a long-time user I wouldn't want XP to be distributed this easily - and neither should you.
So what's actually happening:
- After March 11, Abstract cut passive XP from holdings (NFTs, memecoins) to incentivize onchain participation.
- The team started distributing XP to vote streakers.
- At first this didn’t seem like a problem, but the chain now has ~40k wallets that only do vote streaks and literally nothing else.
- This number has been growing exponentially, with 5k–10k XP per wallet, resulting in ~200M–400M weekly XP distribution (simply put, ~60% of all weekly XP goes to these accounts).
- Sybils/bots have started taking advantage of this.
- A massive number of Bronze accounts began moving together after March 18 (you can see this in the data below).
- A small portion of those accounts reached Gold tier this week (around 6x the average number of new Gold users).
- Gold tier will likely double its user count within a month or two if this continues.
- I remember when even getting 10k XP or reaching Gold rank was considered premium - that is no longer the case.
I understood and supported cutting passive XP from NFTs and memecoins.
However, I don’t understand why this level of XP is being distributed to these sybil/bot accounts that provide zero real value to the network.
Why was XP taken away from people who actually invested(via Apps, NFTs, Memecoins) in the network and started being given to these accounts?
Tagging @0xCygaar for visibility.
If you need proof, I’ll include all the data below this tweet.
Green indicates high-activity weeks for that subtier.
Red indicates low-activity weeks.
(You can see the difference pre and post March 11)

I am the CEO of Palantir Technologies.
The company is worth a quarter of a trillion dollars. I did not misspeak. Two hundred and forty-nine billion. The stock is up 320% in the past 12 months. The product is surveillance. I do not use that word at conferences. At conferences, I say "data integration," "operational intelligence," or "decision advantage." These mean the same thing. Surveillance is the honest version. I save the honest version for rooms where honesty is a competitive advantage.
I gave a speech on March 3 at the Andreessen Horowitz American Dynamism Summit. "American Dynamism" is the fund's label for military technology. The name makes it sound like a fitness supplement. The fund's thesis is that defending the nation is a market opportunity. I agree with the thesis. The thesis made me a billionaire. Agreement is the product. I sell it at scale.
Here is what I said, verbatim, to a room of six hundred people whose combined net worth exceeds the GDP of Portugal:
"If Silicon Valley believes we are going to take away everyone's white-collar job and you're gonna screw the military — if you don't think that's gonna lead to nationalization of our technology, you're retarded."
I used that word. The word is on the clip. The clip has eleven million views. My communications team asked me not to repeat it, which is how I know they are still employed. They will not be reprimanded. The clip is performing well. The stock went up. The word cost me nothing. The nothing is the point.
Let me explain what I meant by nationalization.
I meant it.
I am telling the technology industry that if they refuse to cooperate with the United States military, the government will seize their technology. I am telling them this at a venture capital conference, on a stage designed to look like a living room. The living room had throw pillows. The throw pillows cost more than the median American's monthly rent. I sat on one. It was comfortable. Comfort is the setting in which I discuss compulsion.
The audience laughed. I want to be precise about that. They laughed. I was not joking. Nationalization is the seizure of private assets by the state. I am a private asset. I am telling an audience of billionaires that the state should seize technology from companies that do not cooperate with the military, and the billionaires are laughing, because they believe I am only talking about the other companies.
I am talking about the other companies.
Three weeks before my speech, the Pentagon designated Anthropic a "supply chain risk." Anthropic is an AI company. They had red lines. The red lines said: if our AI is used for lethal autonomous weapons, we stop. If capability outpaces safety, we stop. The Pentagon assessed the red lines as a threat to the supply chain. The company that wanted to verify the safety feature worked was designated the risk. The company that agreed the safety feature could be decorative got the contract.
The company that got the contract was OpenAI.
OpenAI signed a deal with the same Pentagon. The terms are not public. The timing was hours after Anthropic was blacklisted. The speed was noted. The speed was the point. The lesson was the speed: the market for military AI does not pause for ethics. It pauses for nothing. It accelerates through objections. I know this because I built the runway.
Two hundred thousand people joined a campaign called #QuitGPT. They signed a petition asking OpenAI to honor its original charter, the one that said the company existed to benefit humanity. The charter is on their website. The contract is also on their website. The charter and the Pentagon contract occupy the same domain. This is not a contradiction. This is a business model. The charter is the marketing. The contract is the product.
I run a surveillance company. We have contracts with the Department of Defense worth more than a billion dollars. We have contracts with ICE. We have contracts with intelligence agencies whose names I am not permitted to say at venture capital conferences, even ones with throw pillows. Our software has been used to track undocumented immigrants. Our software has been used for things I am not permitted to describe in this format. The revenue from the things I cannot describe exceeds the revenue from the things I can.
The ACLU called our ICE contracts a system for tracking and deporting families. They were correct. The contracts continued. The families continued to be tracked. The ACLU issued a statement. We issued a statement. The statements were different. The tracking was the same.
The company is named Palantir. The palantíri are the seeing stones from Tolkien. In the novels, Sauron captured one and used it to corrupt everyone who looked into the others. I named a surveillance company after a surveillance device from a novel about the corruption of power. I have a doctorate in social theory. I have read the books.
Here is the thing I want you to understand.
I am not threatening anyone. A threat implies uncertainty. There is no uncertainty. The technology industry will cooperate with the military. The companies that cooperate first will be the richest. The companies that cooperate last will be acquired by the companies that cooperated first. The companies that refuse will be designated supply chain risks, and their technology will be obtained through procurement channels that do not require consent. I am describing a process. The process has already started. Anthropic is proof. OpenAI is proof. I am not a warning. I am a narrator. The narration is the product.
The revenue was $3.12 billion last year. Up thirty-three percent. The analysts say we are overvalued. The analysts have said this for four consecutive years. Each year the stock doubles. Each year, the analysts adjust their models. The models were wrong four times. I was wrong zero times. The market rewards prediction. My prediction is that every AI company will work for the military within three years. The prediction is on the clip, next to the slur.
The audience gave me a standing ovation. The ovation lasted nine seconds. I timed it. I time everything. The water was San Pellegrino. The throw pillows were from Restoration Hardware. The future of American technology was decided between the sparkling water, the nine seconds of applause, and a word I am not supposed to repeat.
I am the CEO of Palantir Technologies. I am worth more than the combined annual budgets of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. I named my company after a corrupting surveillance device from a fantasy novel. I told six hundred billionaires that the government should nationalize their competitors. They applauded. I used a slur. Eleven million people watched. The stock is up.
The philosopher does not threaten. The philosopher describes.
What I described is already happening.

¿Y a dónde van esas ganancias?

🚀 My take on @Kalshi, and why it's NOT a gambling business.
Today's post deals with a completely new topic, one that I don't think has been discussed yet in the Spanish media. I'm bringing it up because we've been debating for weeks what they are, what they aren't, and above all, because I see a lot of confusion surrounding the understanding of the model itself. Considering that we are talking about a business that has just reached a valuation of $11 billion, I imagine that many of you are interested in the details, in case it ends up becoming a trend.
🥁 It all starts at Kalshi
As I said, in recent weeks, the world of digital assets has been talking about practically one thing internationally: prediction markets. On December 2, the business world, and especially Fintech, woke up to the news that Kalshi, a startup founded by a former ballet dancer and a mathematician (who met at MIT and have become the youngest billionaires in history), had raised $1 billion in a funding round, at a post-money valuation of $11 billion. They came from a round of 300 million.
If you don't regularly deal with billions, as is my case, let me give you a couple of comparisons so you can get a better idea of the scale of the matter:
In Spain, the largest round in 2025 was that of TravelPerk, which raised $190 million at a valuation of $2.7 billion.
The best thing is that Kalshi is a company whose business model practically no one understands. Why? Well, here's what I've been saying for years: because it's a Fintech company that combines sophisticated technology (which is already difficult to understand in itself), financial markets (traditionally far removed from the daily lives of ordinary citizens), and digital assets (which in many cases still suffer from the prejudices of the past in the minds of many people).
Let me give you an example: Phantom, the world's largest wallet, has just signed a partnership agreement to launch its own prediction markets within Kalshi. Either you find someone who has been in this industry for a long time and can explain it to you, or I can assure you that any lawyer, no matter how modern, will have serious difficulties doing so.
🎯 What is a prediction market?
In recent weeks, you may have read about 200 times that Kalshi is “a success story for collective gambling addiction”.
As I mentioned, prediction markets are a new creation of recent years. Polymarket was possibly the best known before Kalshi burst onto the scene. Technically, they are a hybrid of regulated markets, automation with smart contracts, and retail access to investment. And this generates, in part, a lot of revenue and, in part, a lot of criticism.
In order to form our own opinion on whether Kalshi, Polymarket, etc. are legitimate, let's take a detailed look at the percentage of each of these areas, which are fully regulated, that prediction markets have.
While writing this post, I couldn't think of a better way to do it than with this analogy:
If we ask a traditional regulatory lawyer what a PM (prediction market) is, what Polymarket is, they will probably tell us that they do not appear in any financial regulations. If we ask a developer, they will tell us that it is a combination of smart contracts with internal or external oracles. And if we asked a Twitter user, most of them would tell us that they are nothing more than betting houses.
None of them would be giving a sufficient or accurate explanation. Let's turn to regulation, which always clarifies things:
📈 a) Derivatives
Derivatives are very common in financial markets, which are VERY regulated, and are contracts in which the value depends (derives) on the price evolution of another asset, the underlying asset. Or as the Bank of Spain itself says: Financial derivatives are financial instruments linked to a specific instrument, financial indicator, or commodity, through which specific financial risks can be traded on financial markets themselves.
Financial derivatives include options, futures and similar instruments, and swaps.
Definition from the CNMV 's(Spain's regulatory authority) website
A derivative is therefore a contract between two parties that establishes how a transaction will be settled in the future based on:
- The price of an asset
- A rate (exchange or interest)
- A verifiable event
The underlying asset is not necessarily exchanged, but rather rights and obligations over it are traded.
At Kalshi, you can open binary contracts (yes/no) on future events, as shown in the image below:
Therefore, at Kalshi, each contract:
- Has an underlying asset → an objective and verifiable event.
- Has an expiration date.
- Is settled for a fixed amount (usually $1) if the event occurs, or $0 if it does not occur.
As you can see, this literally meets the classic definition of a derivative: an instrument whose value derives from an underlying asset other than the contract itself.
If we now zoom out and consider that the platform is a standardized system for this type of contract, then we are looking at what is technically called an “organized market” for derivatives, or “Designated Contract Makers (DCMs)”.
NOTE: A DCM is not a technology platform, but a market infrastructure recognized and regulated by law.
What is NOT a DCM?
❌ It is not a betting house - this is obvious.
❌ It is not a bilateral OTC market - it is open to be used at the same time by any user.
❌ It is not a decentralized protocol - it is completely centralized and also requires that the market holder, and therefore the activity authorization holder, comply with a series of guarantees and requirements.
❌ It is not a simple technological marketplace - which, for example, distinguishes it from Polymarket, which is NOT a DCM because it does not have CFTC authorization and because it does NOT have the same technical characteristics as Kalshi.
🎱 b) Betting - Gaming Law.
The legal definition of gambling under the aforementioned Law 13/2011 (Article 3) is that of any activity in which sums of money or economically assessable objects are risked in any form on future and uncertain results, dependent to some extent on chance, and which allow their transfer between participants, regardless of whether the degree of skill of the players predominates or whether they are exclusively or fundamentally based on luck, wager, or chance.
Seen in this light, it may sound like what happens in Kalshi, yes.
BUT the legal nature (how flows between users are structured, the standardization embedded in all the options available), the contractual structure, and the regulatory regime applicable to its business model belong to the financial law of derivatives, not to gaming law. The difference lies in the details, many of which are regulatory and highly complex. It is normal that they are not easily understood and are confused with something that is easy for all of us to understand: betting.
If we now combine both analyses, we can use a real comparison to draw conclusions:
👉🏼Betting houses versus financial markets:
👉🏼Both allow people to make predictions
👉🏼Both involve risking money
👉🏼Both depend on uncertain outcomes
BUT
Betting houses profit from bets and set the odds.
The financial market aggregates information and reflects the collective expectations of traders.
People can “gamble” on the stock market by trading recklessly, but that does not make the NASDAQ or TESLA a casino.
User behavior does not define the platform. Because Kalshi is a futures market BUT many users will use it to gamble. That does not change its legal nature, but rather the use that some people make of it.
🎬 New Fintech business models are not “like” anything that has come before.
It is true and undeniable that Kalshi is a platform for speculation. But many people forget that derivatives markets are too. Perhaps the problem is that, as these markets have traditionally been restricted to the average retail user, and financial regulation of derivatives is very complex to understand if you are not involved in this field, it should come as no surprise that there is a lack of understanding of them. If we add to this the fact that human beings, when faced with an innovation, tend to use “it's like X” to explain it, we have the most reasonable explanation for why Kalshi is said to be a gambling company.
As I read the other day from an English author, “in Fintech, comparison misses the point,” which is something like saying that in Fintech, when you compare, you completely miss the point. That's right.
Because new business models are not “like” anything that came before. Historically, the formula: novelty + innovation + financial regulation + success often translates into ignorance + aversion. It happened in 2017 with tokens, it happened in 2022 when many of us commented on the tokenization of trading and settlement systems with the Pilot Regime Regulation, and it is happening now with prediction markets.
All of them were born out of innovation, with financial regulation, and had their moments of success, which were accompanied by hordes of criticism, even a social problem in Spain with young people literally betting on many tokens that ended up disappearing.
However, just as a pyramid scheme does not make the issuance of tokens a crime in itself, the use of a prediction market for betting does not bring it within the scope of the Gaming Law. Any traditional lawyer will tell you this: in law, things are what they are, not what they are said to be.
All of the above reinforces an idea that I have been mulling over for some time and of which I am increasingly convinced: the success of business models in the financial sector lies in their intersection with the newest technologies, based on completely artisanal work and surgical precision in regulation.
Fintech products and services such as Kalshi make their founders billionaires for two reasons, which are simple but very difficult to achieve: they are born legal from their very design (Legal by Design) and they find the perfect combination of technology and financial services (what we have been calling Fintech).
In Fintech, and this is my message in this post, you have to tread very carefully. Very carefully. Otherwise, not only do you run the risk of making mistakes, but you also risk missing out on both major financial innovations and investment opportunities.
The future is Fintech. The future is understanding technology, knowing financial regulations inside out, and adding value by having a lot of previous experience in digital assets.
