ALT This tragedy has affected all of us in the Las Vegas community, and for many of us has reopened wounds from the October 1st, 2017 shooting. It is more important than ever to offer our love and support to each other as we work through the aftermath of yesterday’s violence. As people, many of us at LVFC are currently shaken and recovering; we have made arrangements to give leave to staff who need it during this difficult time. As an event, we are still committed to providing a safe, fun experience for all attendees with our convention only 113 days away. We have discussed numerous emergency situations with our hotel so as to plan a coordinated response. Our venue has heavy security presence, while its outdoors nature allows for fast evacuation in the event of any threat to life and safety; we are also minutes away from emergency services. We make preparations for the worst, so that we can have peace of mind as we celebrate life at its best.
