Under Trump and full Republican control, the Pentagon just told all U.S. military bases to prepare to be fully fortified for 90 days under the FORTRESS plan, but they didn’t tell the American people anything!
And they did this one week before the midterms.
Pretty much freaking everyone out because fortifying the military bases to operate independently with no connection to the outside world with the entire grid shut down seems like there will be no help for the American people.
Like nothing.
So basically that’s like saying, “You’re on your own.”
And these people actually want you to vote for them.
And why is everyone freaking out? Oh only because Trump has been basically saying he’s restarting the war with Iran that no one wants after midterms and now the Pentagon is fortifying U.S. bases.
You want people to vote for you?
Try instilling trust with the American people that you will ensure their safety, security, and prosperity.
Not sending the message that they are on their own to starve, freeze, or eat each other while you wage world war 3.

Pro-tip: when the defendant is the kind of guy who abandons his 18 year old pregnant wife in a Mexican jail while she fights for her life... and he then goes on to marry 8 other women in less than 20 years... when he flees town a couple weeks after making bail on charges he r aped his stepdaughter and never looks back... it's a pretty safe bet that he's a total shitbag and the victim is telling the truth.

Today, Brad Lander, rabbis, and other New Yorkers accompanied Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. For that, they were detained by the Israeli government.
Harvesting olives is not illegal. The occupation is.
I am thankful that Brad has been released. But other New Yorkers remain detained, and they must be released immediately.
