@HMC_School Welcome back to #forestschool 🤗
Another year of #outdoor adventures await us!!!
For our first week of exploration we discovered moth caterpillars, a camouflaged spider, grasshoppers, fungi, autumn seeds & the colourful cuckoo-pint plant #Outdoors #autumn

@HMC_School Reception excited that Silas (Forest Elf) had been camping ⛺️ in a field growing the most delicious summer fruits… he picked some to share with us ☺️ What a lovely way to end our #forestschool for this year! Happy holidays 💚 #outdoors #summer #kindness #imagination

@HMC_School Year 1 toasting marshmallows for their very nearly last #forestschool session of the year! It was very hot but definitely worth it 😁 #firesafety #outdoors #outdoorlearning
Thank you to this little blackbird, who found one of our classroom library books SO funny she wanted to share it with all her friends! I think there will be a rush to grab this book next library session… it was hilarious! 🤣 @HMC_School

Today we took part in the great science share. We had so much fun exploring chemistry! We made our very own cornflour slime, then we observed fizzy chemical reactions 🧪🤩 @HMC_School @GreatSciShare
Not everyday show and tell involves a musical performance! How lucky we are to have such talented and brave Year 1’s like this Blackbird! 🥰🤩🎻🎼
We had the most wonderful first afternoon back yesterday exploring @GillianHibbs story ‘Errol’s Garden’ through our No Outsiders lesson. We role played ways to ask for help from neighbours, then explored what different neighbours may look like! 🤩 @moffat_andrew @HMC_School
We then went on to the best bit… making our very own fruit salads. The children and I agreed that the evaluation was our favourite part of the lesson… EATING! 🍌 🍇 🍓
