With hearts full of gratitude we rejoice in the goodness of God, who has blessed us, and answered the most beautiful prayer. A little life, fearfully and wonderfully made! Thank you Jesus 🤍 🍼
We can’t wait to meet Baby Brown this spring! Mom & Dad are ready to build our family 🤍🍼 @MitchStoneBrown

1. Always pack an extra onesie
2.And an extra shirt for you/mom
3. Bluetooth > WiFi monitor
4. First 9 months, travelling with a baby is easy. Do it! 9 mos to 2 years is very difficult.
5. You are mom are going to be nervous and worried like crazy. It’s your first. If you even sought out advice, you’ll be great.
6. Get more cloud photo storage
7. Start an email account for them. They will appreciate it when they are older and you can share it with family and people will send stories and such to it
8. Get kids books you like to read. You’ll enjoy it and so will they. Goodnight Moon does not HAVE to be one.
9. You need more burp cloths
10. The first few months, it’s about mom. Get as much time with the baby as possible, but know you are a sideshow to them at first. It changes.
11. Everything is a phase. You’ll have a bad night and think this is just your new normal. Most likely, it’s not. They change a lot every few weeks.
12. Would discourage blackout curtains and crazy loud sound machine. Train the baby to sleep in normal conditions.
13. Find a routine
14. Find something to do with just you and baby. I took my daughter to get pastries every Saturday. Gave my wife some quiet time she needed and gave me 1-1 time with the baby, which I needed.
15. Learn infant CPR
16. You don’t need baby laundry soap.
17. The Frida electric nose sucker is worth it. Our toddler will use it on herself now.
18. You are forming a new family. You will have to make your own rules and norms and do things your own way. Other family members may bristle at some things. But, it’s YOUR family.
19. You don’t have to introduce them to Paw Patrol.
20. When in doubt, just love them as much as you can and it will all work out. No idea the love and joy coming your way.

So…they failed Navy SEALs training.

If we lose the midterm elections, it will be an act of self-destruction by too many of our fellow citizens who will have chosen tyranny over liberty -- yes, the Democrat Party is a tyrannical political movement. And party leaders and candidates have made clear to the electorate their intentions to dismantle our constitution, economic system, and sovereignty (borders). To vote for this, or to not vote at all, is an act of self-destruction.
We, the people, need to take at least some responsibility for our nation's future. That's why we have the vote. The consent of the governed. Representative government. Commentators can make excuses about gas prices or the mindset of young people, etc.  But in the end, this is small potatoes when the Republic is at stake. I intend to elaborate on this in the days ahead, but we have the power to live free or not -- at least for now -- and control our destiny.
By the way, the irony is that gas prices will inevitably skyrocket under the Democrats, as will virtually all costs did in the recent past when they controlled the government. That's what their ideology and policies compel.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Trump launched an unpopular and pointless war. Gas prices are too high. People can’t afford groceries. Trump abandoned the American First message. This is why Republicans are getting crushed. It’s very simple.

What do regular Americans worry about in the first five minutes after they wake up in the morning? They worry about their kids. Their bills. How they’ll afford to pay the mortgage and fill the tank. They don’t worry about Iran or renovating the White House or any of the numerous other things Trump spent the last year rambling about. Republicans did not speak to the issues that directly and immediately impact regular Americans. They did not present a compelling plan to deal with those issues. That’s why they’re getting crushed. And they deserve it.
