Are people really this stupid to not understand that the gratification of creating art comes from the challenge of it?
Art isn’t a problem to solve. The process of doing something difficult from start to finish is literally the ENTIRE point of it.

These people are so desperate to be artists, when they lack the talent or will to actually become one, its really sad. AI isn't the cool kid thing. You're the rich kid buying your way through school. You're the bully stealing another kids homework. In short, you're a loser.
AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral. It’s accessible. It’s refreshing. It’s welcoming. It’s here.

Sad to hear Ozzy died today. When I was in high school I discovered Sabbath. “War Pigs” was terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time. It was Ozzy’s voice that took me away to a dark universe. A great escape. Then when The ‘Blizzard of Ozz’ record came out I was instantly a fan. Randy Rhoads was an influence on me to play lead guitar. Luckily I got to play on the song “Immortal” on the last record. Thanks for the music, Ozzy it makes our journey in life better. Mike McCready

it’s pretty staggering and damning to see the trajectory of the last quarter century of American studio filmmaking laid out like this lol

Giving tom cruise an f1 car is like giving a chimpanzee a nuke detonator
Tom Cruise in "F1" over Brad Pitt would've been "scaring us a little bit more" on set, says director Joseph Kosinksi.
“We’d have had a crash,” quips action-vehicle supervisor Graham Kelly. “Tom pushes it to the limit. I mean really to the limit. That terrifies me. I mean, I’ve done loads of ‘Mission: Impossibles’ with Tom and it’s the most stressful experience for someone like me building cars for him, doing stunts with him. Whereas Brad listens and he knows his abilities, and I think he’d be the first to say, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to do that.’”

«The purpose of civilization is to be able to reach out and empathize with other people. And for me the movies are like a machine that generates empathy. It lets you understand a little bit more about different hopes, aspirations, dreams and fears»

Zelda Williams (the daughter of the great Robin Williams) sure had a lot to say about the “Studio Ghibli style” AI images that have been trending recently.
I think those people should read these posts and really think about what they’re doing.

I have to get this out... Hollywood is sabotaging itself and then acting surprised when the industry suffers. They’re training audiences to devalue theatrical releases, and then they blame “declining interest” when people don’t show up. It’s a self-inflicted wound.
This whole "shorter theatrical window" strategy is pure greed disguised as innovation. They want to cut theaters out of the equation, but in doing so, they’re gutting the entire ecosystem. Hype, anticipation, word-of-mouth—all of that dies when a movie goes from theaters to streaming in a matter of weeks. Instead of letting films breathe and build momentum, they’re treating them like disposable content.
When they pushed streaming as the future, they killed off DVDs and Blu-rays, only to turn around and jack up streaming prices while removing movies at will. They’ve conditioned audiences to expect convenience, but at what cost? The industry is eating itself alive. 🍿💀
"we want hollywood to make better movies"....no you don't, all these movies came out in the last 3 years and you've let them all flop, watch them instead of whining
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
‘Godzilla Minus One’ was not a Hollywood production and did not flop. In fact, it is the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time in the U.S.

still in shock that WICKED became the studio tentpole darling of the Oscar circuit when DUNE 2 is right there and that there’s been ZERO push for Rebecca Ferguson in supporting like what are we doing
