Rewatching Ted Lasso this summer, I got to the episode where Ted has his first panic attack while everyone around him is celebrating a big win at a karaoke bar. What should have been one of the happiest moments of the season suddenly became something completely different. It took me back to the first time I had a panic attack. I was 21 years old. Standing alone in a parking lot. My heart was racing, I couldn’t catch my breath, and I was absolutely convinced I was dying. No one tells you that panic attacks don’t always come during your worst days. Sometimes they show up in the middle of ordinary moments. Sometimes they interrupt celebrations. Sometimes they come out of nowhere. If you’ve never experienced one, it’s hard to explain. If you have, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Looking back now, I realize I wasn’t dying. I was struggling. And there is a difference. If you’re fighting anxiety, panic attacks, or battles no one else can see, you’re not alone. Keep talking. Keep asking for help. Keep moving forward. You don’t have to fight it by yourself.

Suitcase packed. Truck gassed up. Headed north in the morning for the week. Going to the land of horses, bluegrass, good whiskey, and one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever eaten! #KentuckyOn2

Jimmy Buffett sang about being an over-40 victim of fate. Arriving too late. Damn, that hits differently these days. I’ve spent so much of my life doing what I thought I was supposed to do. Working my ass off, taking care of everyone, carrying things I never talked about, and pretending I had it all figured out. I’ve smiled when I wasn’t happy. Said I was fine when I was anything but. Kept pushing forward because that’s what you do when people depend on you. And somewhere in all of that, I lost pieces of myself. Don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful for the life I’ve had. But I’d be lying if I said there weren’t things I wish I’d done differently. Chances I should’ve taken. Moments I should’ve enjoyed. People I should’ve held onto a little longer. The older I get, the more I realize that time is the one thing I can’t work harder to get back. And maybe that’s what scares me the most. Not that I’m getting older. Not that I’ve made mistakes. But that I’ve spent so much time making a living that I almost forgot to make a life. I’m not afraid of dying. I’m afraid of running out of time before I finally start living.

Sometimes you just need to get away from the noise, take the road less traveled, and remind yourself that there’s still a lot of beauty in this world. Life has been heavy lately. A lot on my mind, a lot on my shoulders, and more than a few things I’m still trying to figure out. But out here, with the Jeep, the changing leaves, and the sun coming through the trees, life feels a little simpler. No expectations. No pressure. No need to have all the answers. Just a little fresh air, a little peace, and a reminder that even in seasons of change, there’s still something worth smiling about. Sometimes the best therapy comes with four-wheel drive and no particular destination.

I’ve spent most of my life being the man everyone could count on. The provider. The protector. The one who figures it out, holds it together, and keeps going even when there’s nothing left in the tank. But somewhere along the way, I started confusing being needed with being loved. And maybe that’s the hardest truth I’ve had to face at 47. I’ve spent so much time making sure everyone else was okay that I forgot to ask if I was. I don’t want to be loved for what I can do, what I earn, or what I provide. For once in my life, I just want to know what it feels like to be chosen. Not because someone needs me, but because they genuinely want me. I’m tired of being necessary. I just want to be loved. #MensMentalHealth #BeingTheStrongOne #MenHaveFeelingsToo #Healing #UnspokenPain

DVH saying he wishes someone else would handle the financial side of things moving forward speaks volumes to me. When you’ve got a coach whose job is to build a roster, develop players, and win baseball games, why are we putting him in a position where he’s having to worry about the financial side of keeping that roster together? That’s an athletic department responsibility. Give the man the resources and support he needs and let him coach baseball. He’s earned that much. At some point, Arkansas has to decide whether we’re serious about competing for championships or just talking about it because HY is doing next to nothing and still collecting a check!
Dave Van Horn appreciates the fans who came out to support the program financially during the Diamond Classic. After all, someone’s got to!

Bobby Bones is 100% right on this one. The fact that Nolan Richardson doesn’t already have a statue at Arkansas is ridiculous. The man brought us a national championship, changed college basketball, and put Arkansas on the map in a way very few coaches ever have. And while we’re at it, how in the world does Arkansas football not have a Ring of Honor? We spend a whole lot of time talking about tradition, history, and what it means to be a Razorback, but somehow we struggle to properly recognize the people who actually built that tradition. Nolan deserves his statue. Our football legends deserve their names displayed where every fan who walks into that stadium can see them. This shouldn’t even be a debate. It’s past time Arkansas started acting like an SEC program when it comes to celebrating its own history.
96% unfavorability rating. Day 38 in a row. Here’s what I’d do as a master marketer to change that. Hog blog . Razorback fans only

I’ve spent too much of my life replaying things I couldn’t change. The disappointments. The regrets. The people who hurt me. The moments I wish I could go back and do differently. And somewhere along the way, I let those things take up more space in my mind than the life I still have left to live. I’m learning that I can’t build a better tomorrow while constantly living in yesterday. I can’t change what’s happened to me. But I can change what I allow to define me. I’m tired of giving my past so much power over my future. Same man. Same scars. Same story. But it’s time to change the tape. #MensMentalHealth #PersonalGrowth #HealingJourney #LifeLessons #KeepMovingForward

If I could sit down, have a drink, and talk about life with anyone, these two would be at the top of my list. Nick Saban, because I’ve spent most of my adult life chasing success, leading people, holding myself accountable, and believing that discipline and hard work can overcome just about anything. I’d want to ask him how you know when you’ve done enough. But Robin Williams? That conversation would be different. I’d want to talk about loss. About getting older. About missing people and moments you can never get back. About being the guy everyone expects to have it together when some days you’re barely holding yourself together. I’d want to laugh. Really laugh. The kind of laugh that makes you forget everything weighing on your mind. At 47, I’m starting to realize that being successful and being happy aren’t always the same thing. I’ve spent so much of my life trying to be strong for everyone else that sometimes I forget what it feels like to just be me. Saban could teach me how to win at life. But Robin Williams might help me understand why, after spending so many years trying to build a life worth living, I still need to learn how to actually live it. And right now, I think I need that second conversation more than the first. #MensMentalHealth #RobinWilliams #NickSaban #LifeAt47 #BehindTheSmile

How do I explain to the people I love that by Friday night, I have nothing left to give? I miss going out. I miss laughing. I miss making memories instead of just making it through the week. I want to show up, but I’m exhausted in ways sleep can’t fix. And it hurts knowing the people I love often get what’s left of me instead of the best of me. I’m not pulling away. I miss you. I miss living. And truthfully, I miss myself.

One thing life has taught me is that loneliness shows no respect for age, gender, or status. You can have a successful career, a family, people who love you, and still feel completely alone. Sometimes the loudest battles are fought in the quietest moments. And sometimes, the person everyone leans on has nobody to lean on.
