A former teacher, later becoming a colleague, teammate and friend π
An inspiration for me growing up who offered so much support and guidance whether at the crease or in the classroom, and was a privilege to present him with his shirt upon retirement π¨π»βπ«β½οΈ
Rest easy, Dolby π
Everyone at Burton Albion was saddened to hear of the passing of former player Steve Dolby (1957-2026).
In total, he made 318 appearances for Albion, still one of the highest tallies in club history.
We will pay tribute to his life and career here with a minute's applause before Wednesday night's game against Birmingham City.
What an inspiration for our students @deferrerssport ππΌπ
And a great mantra to go along with it @josbuttler ππΌπ₯
Ahead of our Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup campaign with our students hoping to reach @HomeOfCricket, weβve had some words of encouragement from one of Englandβs greatest @josbuttler ππΌπ
Play well πͺπΌ
Smash it π₯
Bring it home π
