In a profession that is continually vilified in the media, THIS is why I do the job I do! Not for the praise and adoration but to know you are genuinely making an impact on people’s lives. And yes, I was very emotional reading this!!

As Summer ends and seeing so many awesome classroom ‘transformations’ I would usually feel so guilty! However, this year I decided my Summer break would revolve around the things I love doing, so I travelled South America and have never felt more refreshed #MentalHealthMatters
The children have had a fantastic day today celebrating ‘Calderdale Book of the Year’. Thank you to all the authors(@PiersTorday @bookhorse @doyle_cat) and the librarians (@CMBClibraries ) who have helped create such special memories for the children. And well done @lizziebooks!

We consolidated our understanding of how to measure angles this morning using masking tape on the tables. The children worked collaboratively to aid one another and addressed one another’s misconceptions. Writing on the tables was also a bonus! #ActiveHandsActiveMinds #Angles

We’ve been scribes & experts today to reinforce our learning of long division. Getting the children to verbalise the steps in the process whilst also having a bit of fun has really reinforced their learning.
