In my US History class we use @Ancestry to study the Civil War through our family veterans. I teach kids not only how to find ancestors who fought in the war, but also how to place them on a battlefield using @Battlefields and @fold3
Here are some of the projects:

The reaction you get when you load the boys on the bus for the last day of the “Dog Days of August” track/stadium workout and tell them we are getting Kona Ice!
Alarming.
The profile pic was a pretty girl. The DM seemed harmless - “hey.”
For Jordan DeMay, among a targeted group of teen boys, often high school athletes, this was danger coming in the middle of the night to his small, remote town.

JUST IN: AHSAA to launch task force to investigate high school transfers
A report given at Thursday's annual spring meeting revealed strong disparities in the number of football transfer students-athletes to certain schools in Class 6A.
Alma Bryant head football coach @BartSessions and @YeagerSpartanFB presented data which showed that, in 2024, six schools accounted for 100 football transfers — which made up nearly 40 percent of the total number of transfers statewide.
The Central Board voted unanimously to introduce a task force to crack down on the growing issue statewide.

Credit to Jalen Hurts — tremendous lesson for kids out there, benched at halftime of the national title game for Tua, refuses to publicly pout, commits himself to working his ass off to get better. And now he’s a Super Bowl champion quarterback. Phenomenal comeback & resilience.

A boys' school makes boy-friendly changes and gets great results! Some are as simple as opening the playground for 20 minutes before school starts.

Wow
HILARIOUS elitism by @margbrennan @CBSNews claiming that Mississippians know less about emergency management than DC bureaucrats - all because her favorite Democrats in CA and NC have failed their constituents.
@JDVance did a great job handling her condescending questions. The disdain these people have for any Americans outside of their little bubble is so pathetic and revealing.
Incredible photo of Colvin’s catch. Well done!

I’d like to point out that this was the “knuckleball” portion of our warm up. I promise I can throw a football 😂
FWIW, Archie has the best knuckleball of the group

If you’re a spouse, if you’re a parent, you need to read this. Very practical and useful.
My biggest takeaway was the importance of developing eyes to see the spiritual worship bound up in a habit we didn’t know was spiritual.
This is a GREAT book @Justin_W_Earley

I’m just a guy that does a goofy sports show in Birmingham so what do I know but, a great way to honor the memory of Willie Mays would be an annual @MLB game played at @RickwoodField called the “Say Hey Classic”. Just a thought. @Buster_ESPN
“Willie” chants break out at Rickwood Field tonight in honor of the late Willie Mays.
