May all policy makers take note. 37 to 1 over 5 periods is too many Ss to teach, especially if you want Ts to foster connections and provide rich feedback.
Would you want a Dr to see 185 patients a day? And expect them to provide excellent 1 on 1 card to all of them?🤔
Besides excellent teachers and having students want to learn, IMO reducing class sizes is the best way to improve student learning. Imagine the difference between a class of 37 and a class of 25. Or a doctor with 125 patients versus 185?

I do love the NCTM national conference and its goal to create community. In this spirit I wonder how #NCTMDC23 can create more community for us here beyond the conference? How can we create opportunities for us to create community? I want more.

Planning a 5 day trip to DC for #NCTM2023 while finishing work for my doctoral program is overwhelming, but my excitement to be with other like minded educators is pushing me through both!
