You're creating a scenario that didn't exist here though.
If someone understands the code of a game and uses AI for efficiency. That is a different scenario than the guy who just typed in "KH2 forms in KH1" because that's what vibe coding actually is.

So strictly speaking about Mods/Ports in regards to AI, I fully understand your perspective. For my content I cover things I genuinely believe most people will have interest in & If I personally think "oh hey that's some cool shit". Over the past couple of weeks there's been some incredibly cool stuff pop up, previously unseen before, providing new ways to play.
By covering these, the intention isn't to take away or discredit Actual Mod/Port Creators/Devs, but to showcase something neat from a Playability perspective. While there is undeniably a lot of slop out there (eg, the passthrough stuff is garbage) the projects I've covered are mostly in a position where they function (358 Port, CoM Port, R&C ports, KH mods) & if they don't I mention this in the video, point & laugh at it or it's based on an initial reaction/first impression. Similar to regular mods. I'm keeping people up to speed with what's happening within the franchises I have passion for, as I've always done.
This doesn't mean I'm abandoning Actual Creators work, if anything it means blood & sweat coded content will get praised harder. But the reality is, a lot of Mods/Ports going forward will use some varying degree of AI Assistance. If the end result doesn't work, no ones going to bother with or gaf about them, but if they actually function then people will care. The same can also be said about Games Development as a whole, most of the industry is using some level of AI at this stage & will only become more prominent as the months go by.
So then what are we supposed to do about Actual Mod Creators using AI to assist with their projects, just as actual game devs are with AAA video games? Ignore them entirely?
I too have negative views on specific use cases of AI and some I draw the line. Like anything, there's Pros & Cons. However in the area of mods & ways to either enhance an existing game or offer new ways to play them as mods do, it would be ignorant for me not to cover them based on the fact that it's a major part of my channels content. I also believe that so long as you have Human Expertise + AI Assistance, these will be the projects that'll stand out among the ones that are purely vibe coded lacking any kind of prior Dev Knowledge.
For the mod creators still using raw, unfiltered talent, more power to them and they SHOULD be PRAISED as such, the same can be said in all areas of literally everything rn. I can understand where you're coming from as it's also prominent in Content Creation, for either Video Editing or Thumbnail Creation, which I personally feel opposed too. Sadly though, it's only going to be used more and will get to the point where it's indistinguishable.
With the increase of coverage towards AI Assisted projects recently on my part, I've thought that it might be a good idea to clearly label if one is during the video. But there's a lot of cool stuff that's popping up (Days with enhancements and A LOT of Future Potential, CoM with Enhancements, VCast can now be properly played, KH2s combat system in another game & it actually functions) and to ignore these, especially moving forward, would be cutting out a massive line of new content for games & entire area of new mods.
That's where I stand with it in this specific area, I understand not everyone will feel the same. The entire AI subject is incredibly divisive
Caught orange mouthed.
Wait, were you recording this whole time??

Imo F is one of the best written games in the franchise, and aside from one call back to the cult from the OG. F has its own Gods, town, and struggles going on
Harry in SH1 and Henry in SH4 are innocent bystanders when it comes to their roles in the game. The monsters in their environments are not linked to them. They're just trying to accomplish their main goals and escape. You can just get caught up in shit
More people really need to play games beyond SH2 to see the world of Silent Hill operate on different rules depending on the circumstance.
The world is filled with various Gods, rituals, drugs, etc. That is how there are games that can take place outside of the main town
