Dr. Fran Cleland, Professor Emerita at West Chester University, served as program coordinator for the Health and Physical Education Teacher Certification program for 28 years. 🐏
She started her career teaching K-12 health and physical education in several states. Dr. Cleland is recognized for her research on critical thinking in physical education and her authorship of multiple influential books in the field. Dr. Cleland has also held leadership positions, including president of @SHAPE_PA, NASPE, and @SHAPEAmerica. In retirement, she continues to contribute as the SHAPE America Book Production & Acquisitions Manager.
