The 2025 CGCSC Teacher of the Year is Anne Jackson! Anne is a 5th Grade teacher at North Grove Elementary School. She was chosen by a university committee and will represent Center Grove in the Indiana Teacher of the Year competition. Congratulations to Anne! #E3CG #CenterGrove

A kind nudge: strive to have your formative assessments be so strong, so routined, and so timely, that your summative assessments are redundant. Now ask yourself, why can’t this be the case?

A great example of a classroom time filler. How would your students do?

Enjoying @center_grove Blended 2.0 PD. Applying some concepts from Workflow #6 here by “Memorializing” my learning. I’ve never used Would You Rather techniques for student sharing before- mostly for fun. Wondering which unit I could easily integrate to first 🤔#NG2324

My thoughts on classroom management: Posted rules don’t matter. The only ones that count R those you enforce. Embarrassing kids leads 2 disrespect. Don’t do that. Good lessons are more effective than good rules. Everything is easier if you build relationships with the kids.

One of my favorite things about being an educator is how life flows in seasons for us. I love routine, but summer is my reset🌞. It is already rejuvenating me for the #NG2324 school year. Building healthy habits to take care of my mind, body, & spirit these past two weeks.☺️

In PLCs, principals are the lead learner. They are the person to whom students and staff look to as the model for learning. Learning-focused principals ensure that learning and leading occur at the same time in the same place. They are not competing entities. #atPLC @SolutionTree

The last few years connecting with educators via socials has not been a priority- pandemic, finishing a master’s, life changes (hello twin babies!), and changing schools. Looking to reconnect & spark my creativity. What was the most meaningful part of your school year?

I’ll go first: Celebrating a student adoption was a first for me and so so special this year! My class had at least 7 adoption stories we all shared during this celebratory time.

Teachers: Which one best represents your progress this year? A, B, or C?
