Are our #haemophilia treatment centres ready for what care needs to look like? Is the wider healthcare system ready? With increasingly older, complex, frail adults what does it need to look like? More questions than answers currently @HaemoSocUK #EAHAD2026

Reflecting on nurses session #EAHAD2025 our role in education support and care changes with patient diagnosis, age, gender etc. BUT striking was coordination and MDT flexible working. We need to speak up more about what we do @haemnet

Thank you to the many thousands of people across the whole of the NHS & social care who helped deliver the care during the pandemic. Has been a strange and difficult day. But felt it was important to give witness to some small part of the enormity of the challenge we all faced.
Prof @Kevin_Fong (Former National Clinical Adviser in Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response) is giving evidence to the Inquiry today.

"No one should have their studying in higher education interrupted by not having access or not being able to afford period products. That is why we are announcing a new initiative; Period Dignity @ Queen's."
We are aiming to make period poverty in Queen’s a thing of the past by supplying free period products in selected bathrooms throughout campus.
There are now 43 free vending units supplying free pads and tampons to those in need, including in accessible bathrooms.
You can find the full list of locations here ➡️ go.qub.ac.uk/TfYSoc
Feel free to take what you need, whenever you need it.

It is our job to provide the knowledge & potential risks and benefits for patients to make their most informed decision. However, people are still entitled to their own decisions and may take one you do not agree with. How would you navigate that scenario? #EAHAD2024 #haemophilia
