THREAD: How would The Birlings have coped with Covid-19? @Team_English1 Mr Birling: anti masker, anti vax-er, it’s all a hoax etc. Avoids furloughing his workers by claiming they were on zero hours contracts. 1/8
Fans of @AncientsHH and @ancientstristan- can highly recommend a visit to Grotte Du Lazaret in Nice: absolutely brilliant (free?!) exhibition and stunning video art presentation by @JustineEmard

Mr Birling would vote Tory but Mrs Birling would vote Reform. Gerald is funding the Reform campaign trail. Sheila has handed out leaflets for the Labour Party. Eric spoilt his ballot paper. Edna hasn’t got the vote yet.
What’s that? Just my husband running an entire election process for his primary school. They had voter ID, statistics, election campaigns, manifestos…the works. So proud - doing wonders for a disadvantaged community #vote #education
He’s being modest - @InkwellPaul has set up and run a huge election across the whole of his primary school, impacting on the children and their families. Direct parent quote ‘Kids have been talking about it all night!’ Amazing 🤩
Genuinely ‘liked’ this post - what a great guy!
Appreciation post for @BradleyKBusch tonight. Not only is he one of the nicest people in education, he deals very well with my book wobbles!
Anyone in charge of cover in their school able to give me a DM? #education #staffabsence
Ok - having a very good day with #AIforteaching
Have used ChatGPT to research and compile reading lists for me - and to quickly type up the text from a very blurry library image. Win!

I wonder if eventually we will use AI to generate video models of good teaching for coaching. Poor, ‘non examples’ too without the ethical and practical considerations of filming real teachers and students.
I know we could do this now with actors, but it feels like AI would be able to generate specific models for specific issues bespoke to the teacher's coaching needs.
Trying to embrace the inevitable future!

Find someone like @zssnas who can somehow make everyone in the photo look good…is there no end to her talents? 😂😍

Can be hard being a teacher at the moment. Loss of status and a lot of people working flexibly/wfh putting pressure on us teachers who graft every single day in a classroom…so conferences like #TLLeeds where you get to share the love of this vital profession are so important.
Huge thank you to @orla_of and the team for putting on such a joyous event!
I loved my bilingualism units at uni and would love to find out more about what’s going on in the mind of a BSL user when they read and process written English. Why, after 21 years of teaching English, have I not pursued this passion? Need to think about how to refocus…
So excited to hear that @gretchenrubin and @elizabethcraft will be in England this summer! Please can you do a meet and greet for all your UK fans?! Love the Happiness podcast so, so much - thank you for all the tips! #designyoursummer

English Teachers: if you teach ‘War Photographer’ or ‘Remains’ - go and watch Civil War #civilwarmovie 👌 - horrific violence, phenomenal performances and a bizarre but effective soundtrack. Kirsten Dunst says a line that I’ll be using in my teaching. #nospoilers
SENCOs - please can you reply to this with a very quick overview of your career path up to SENCO? I'm interested in supporting staff development and I am interested to know the most common routes through to this important leadership role. Many thanks!
Very excited to be welcoming @miss_menopause to our school for a session all about the menopause on Monday 29th April. Staff are really keen to come to this session to learn more about this topic - see you soon, Sharon!
