Many in the media -- including this writer -- have been saying that a second Trump administration will mean the "end of democracy."
But Nikki Haley's run proved Trump has difficulty persuading moderate Americans.
For those who seek it, history provides context for hope:
- Americans fought fascism before, and won.
- Americans faced corrupt leaders before, and removed them.
- Together, we survived the worst days of the Great Depression.
- We rallied from the dark days of Hitler and an invasion at Pearl Harbor.
The American people -- your neighbors, friends and family -- can defeat this threat.

Just know that the phrases βin it for the outcome, not the incomeβ and βitβs for the kidsβ are just adorably clever ways of exploiting the fact that educators care deeply about their students, and guilt them into accepting that they are grossly underpaid and overworked.
