Hey @CrookedMedia and @jonlovett and @jonfavs check out this progressive Democrat running for state senate in CT, focussing on tackling housing insecurity in the Waterbury area charneilforct.com/meet-charn…
The idea that boys will upend their life to transition solely b/c they want to be more competitive female athletes is transphobic, insulting, & also dumb: female athletes earn barely a percent of what male athletes make and get far less attn & glory than males. #terfserasewomen
#bidenerasedwomen ? nah. #terfserasewomen @JoeBiden signed EOs to address the oppression of BIPOC & trans women & terfs dgaf. They are privileged white women who see rights as a zero sum game, & including trans & BIPOC women is an obstacle to being co-oppressors w/ white men.
Biden rejoined the Paris Climate accords to fight climate change, something that disproportionately impacts marginalized people, but sure #BidenErasedWomen
I'm starting to think that all of these #bidenerasedwomen people don't really care about women after all, and just care about excluding and exterminating trans people.
@TVietor08 and @brhodes - Love you guys, and I'm sure LeCarre & Nixonland are good, but it'd be awesome if you could plug more #worldo books by women. I have some recommendations in the thread.
Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi - tells the story of 2 half sisters in Africa and their descendents - 1 sister is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the US & the other remained in Africa. Every chapter is another descendant & involves colonization, slavery, kidnappings, poverty, etc.
