Ankara makes another attempt to persuade Russia & Ukraine not to attack commercial vessels. The reality is that Russia is targeting the vessels involved in trade with Ukraine and using the alternative corridor provided by Romania & Bulgaria. The Black Sea remains unstable.

Turkey warns Russia and Ukraine against attacks on commercial vessels in the Black Sea Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler urged Moscow and Kyiv to stop attacks on civilian vessels and ensure the safety of shipping. According to Güler, Ankara is awaiting a response to its proposal for both sides to halt attacks and ensure the safe export of grain from the region. The minister also said that another commercial vessel had been attacked by three drones within Bulgaria’s maritime jurisdiction.
