No ever told me “me time” in motherhood would look like sitting in the dark. Phone in hand. Eyes burning. Heavy heart. Body aching. Just needing a minute after everyone is finally asleep, where no one needs me. It’s not rest, it’s not peace, it’s survival.
And I do it every night just to remember I still exist.

Chris Rock opened up about how he RUINED his marriage through his addiction to P*RN and repeatedly CHEATING on his wife, admitting he was the one who MESSED UP and that losing his marriage left him SEVERELY HUMBLED 😲👀
“I didn’t listen. I wasn’t kind. I cheated… I realized I wasn’t God or anywhere near him, you know, and I was severely humbled, as I should have been.”

🎤 Ms. Laker Jennifer, a peer educator, speaks on the realities in communities: in some places, a girl's first period is seen as a sign she's old enough to marry. Among the major hurdles she names are poor sanitation, policies made without grassroots research, and resource allocation. Her asks: better grassroots research and follow-up, plus record-keeping systems in small communities to track policy implementation. #InvestInChildhood #GirlSummits2026 #OnceAndForAll

Ms. Anna Kansime of the Freedom Fund, which supports community-led work against child marriage in Karamoja, says the major hurdles are lean local government budgets and competing priorities. Communities already hold resources to sustain the response, and speed matters. One of the biggest resources: empowering young people.

🎤 Ms. Lydia Najjemba of @Mglsd_UG outlines 3 vectors to end child marriage:
1️⃣ Local languages, so communities understand the message
2️⃣ Institutional governance, including teenage pregnancy surveillance
3️⃣ Legal follow-up on cases
Her call to action: get out of the boardrooms and into communities. Donors, remove the blockages that keep funds from reaching communities. Cultural and religious leaders, challenge outdated beliefs. Civil society, amplify advocacy.

APPRECIATION MESSAGE🙏🙏🙏
Dear X, I honestly do not know how to find the right words to thank you all.
But please accept my humble gratitude.
Escorting my dad from the compound to his grave has been the hardest journey I’ve walked all my life. He was sick for a month, followed by 51 agonising days in the ICU, fighting for his painful life.
We treated, we hoped, we prayed-vehemently, all in sweltering despair. Sadly, he lost the battle. He has now embarked on a lone journey to eternity. He is now gone. Gone forever.
To everyone on X, I’m grateful. You called, sent messages, offered prayers, checked on me, stood with me. THANK YOU.
You will never understand how much your kindness meant to me.
At my darkest hour, you reminded me that behind these accounts and usernames, are ravishing people with genuinely beautiful hearts.
I may not be able to respond to every message individually, but please know that not a single gesture of your kindness has gone unnoticed.
My father is gone, but the compassion you showed me during this doleful time will remain etched in my heart forever.
May God bless your families and protect your loved ones to spare you the pain of losing someone dear to you.
Thank you for standing with me when life brought me to my knees. I will never forget your kindness. ❤️🕊️
